It does not work the other way around, i.e. when transmitting the signal the other way (from HDMI to SCART).

In the case of connection to the home theater system, you can send video and sound to the TV (e.g. play a movie) but you cannot send sound from the TV to the home theater while watching TV (from a set-top box or antenna) with the same cable.

Purpose and main features:

The cable/adapter allows you to connect an analog signal source, e.g. from DVD player, TV set-top box with Euro output to HDMI connector of high definition TV. The image is scaled to HD (720 or 1080p, depending on the switch setting on the adapter).

• Input: 1 x SCART plug or so-called. Euro (connect to the SCART/Euro socket of the device that sends video and sound)
• Output: 1 x HDMI port (connect to TV, monitor or projector with HDMI cable - HDMI cable not included with adapter)
• configuration: image output 720/1080p - switch on housing
• cable length (from Scart plug to HDMI port) - about 70 cm
• The adapter requires power supply with the included USB - microUSB cable, the cable connects to the adapter tip with an HDMI port and to any USB source (this can be a USB port on the TV or a charger from the phone).
