USB Adapter → LAN/Wi-Fi for Smart Home Radio Controllers

Your ZigBee or Z-Wave coordinator – wherever you want, without any USB cables.

Are you struggling with this problem?

❌ Known problem of smart home users

  • Your ZigBee coordinator needs to be at the server — away from the center of your home, so the signal is weak
  • USB extension cable guided by 3 rooms is an ugly, unreliable solution
  • Devices upstairs or in the garage are out of ZigBee or Z-Wave network range
  • You have two controllers (ZigBee + Z-Wave) and the Raspberry Pi doesn't have enough USB ports in the right place
  • Home Assistant Server Stands in Cabinet - Poor Location for Radio Antenna

✅ Solution: SLZB-U2L

  • Connect the dongle to the SLZB-U2L and place the device in the center of your home – where the signal is best
  • The server (Home Assistant, Zigbee2MQTT, Z-Wave JS) sees the controller over the network as if it were connected locally
  • Connect via Wi-Fi or Ethernet cable — no long USB cables through walls
  • Operate two controllers simultaneously from one device.
  • Install in the basement, attic or anywhere – only the home network counts

🎯Why SLZB-U2L and not a USB extension cable?

Active USB extension cords have a limited length (up to 5 m without a hub), are unreliable on long routes and do not pass through walls. SLZB-U2L works over your home network — the range is limited only by Wi-Fi or Ethernet. No cables through rooms, no compromises with signal quality.

🧠Heart of the device — ESP32-S3 module

Why don't you need a USB cable?

ESP32-S3 processor is a full-fledged network computer — not just a USB converter

🌐 Built-in TCP/IP network stack

The ESP32-S3 has its own 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and a full network stack. Your Zigbee or Z-Wave dongle is "seen" over the network exactly the same way as through a USB port -- no lag, no additional drivers.

⚡ Why is this important?

A regular USB extension cable has a limit of ~5 meters and is prone to interference. ESP32-S3 replaces the cable with a network TCP connection throughout your home network — without any distance limitation.

🔒 Own operating system SLZB-OS

ESP32-S3 is powered by a dedicated SLZB-OS system with web interface, WireGuard VPN, DDNS and OTA. It’s not a gadget — it’s a complete network device with its own software.

🔄 ESPHome support

The power of ESP32-S3 also lets you upload ESPHome, an alternative, fully open source firmware with Bluetooth Proxy support and a broad integration ecosystem.

⚙ How does it work?

1. Connect your radio controller to SLZB-U2L

Insert Zigbee, Z-Wave, Thread, LoRa or other USB stick into one of the USB-A or USB-C ports of your device. There is room for two at the same time.

2. Connect SLZB-U2L to your home network

Log your device to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi wirelessly. You can also use an Ethernet cable or PoE power supply (optional module). Configuration via browser – no application, no cloud.

3. Indicate the address in your smart home system

In Home Assistant, Zigbee2MQTT, Z-Wave JS or ESPHome, type the network address SLZB-U2L as the serial port. Ready – everything works as before, but with network coverage and flexibility.

🌐Ways of connection

SLZB-U2L is a platform, not just an adapter

The basic version works immediately via Wi-Fi. But if you need an Ethernet cable, PoE power supply or 4G/LTE mobile internet — just add the right module. No soldering, no tools. The modules plug in mechanically and work immediately.

🔌Ethernet module W5500

Adds RJ45 10/100 Mbps port with dedicated hardware TCP/IP controller. Stable, wired connection resistant to radio interference – ideal where Wi-Fi is unreliable or overcrowded.

PoE module

Power over Ethernet — one cable gives both network and power. You don't need an electrical outlet nearby. Perfect for mounting under the ceiling, in a closet, garage or electrical box.

📱4G / LTE module

Mobile Internet via SIM card (SIMCom A7672G chipset). Ideal for locations without cable or Wi-Fi — cottages, industrial facilities, remote installations. The device works wherever there is LTE coverage.

Modules are sold separately. The basic SLZB-U2L works instantly over Wi-Fi — without any extras. ETH, PoE and 4G/LTE modules can be purchased in our auctions and installed on their own in seconds. Check out our other offers!

💡Examples of application – why do you need it?

🏠Better Zigbee network throughout the house

The server in the basement, and the Zigbee dongle in the middle of the ground floor — SLZB-U2L carries the signal over Wi-Fi. No more dead zones or devices that fall off the network.

🔐Zigbee + Z-Wave together

One SLZB-U2L will support both controllers simultaneously. Instead of two USB cables to the server — one box of Wi-Fi in the optimal place.

🏡Cottage / remote location

Install SLZB-U2L in your summer cottage. With WireGuard’s built-in VPN, your Home Assistant server can see it remotely — securely and encrypted.

📡Perfect place for an antenna

Place SLZB-U2L in the middle of the ceiling, hallway or electrical cabinet — where the radio signal is strongest, not where the server is located.

🔌PoE power supply – one cable is enough

With the optional PoE module, one network cable gives you both network and power at the same time. Ideal for installation in places without an outlet – under the ceiling, in the box, in the garage.

🔒Privacy — zero cloud

The whole thing works locally in your home network. No accounts, subscriptions, or sending data to external servers. Your devices, your data.

👥Who is SLZB-U2L for?

🏠Home Assistant users

If you have a Home Assistant and Zigbee or Z-Wave dongles — this device will allow you to place the controller where the signal is best, not where the server stands.

🔧Enthusiasts DIY smart home

Zigbee2MQTT, Z-Wave JS, ESPHome – If you’re familiar with these tools, SLZB-U2L is the missing piece of flexible infrastructure for your home.

🏡Multi-location owners

House + cottage, office + warehouse. With WireGuard VPN, you can see every place from one server remotely and securely.

📡People with coverage issues

Large houses, multiple floors, thick walls — if your Zigbee devices fall off the grid, the reason is a weak coordinator signal. SLZB-U2L fixes this.
