Ideal

PRAKTIK CHARGER 25 is an electronic rectifier for charging 12 and 24 volt acid batteries:

• WET (liquid - acidic)
• GEL (gel)
• MF (maintenance-free)
• AGM (with fiberglass mat)
• EFB (for vehicles with Start-Stop system)

and 12V lithium batteries

• Li (LiFePO4)

The rectifier has a microprocessor control system, provides automatic shutdown when the required voltage is reached on the battery and automatic resumption of charging after the voltage drops on the battery.

With each switch on, the rectifier automatically sets the last remembered parameters (helpful for repeated use and power grid failures).

Charging process

The 9-step charging process ensures optimal battery charging conditions. The automatic control system will adjust each of the 9 charging stages to properly charge the battery:

• STAGE 1 - DIAGNOSTIC - analyzes the battery and checks whether it can accept charging current; prevents charging the damaged battery.
• STAGE 2 - RECOVERY CHARGE – Low voltage batteries are pre-charged with low current but with increased voltage; very discharged batteries can be restored to a usable state and this ensures a longer battery life, the stage is skipped if the battery is minimally discharged and in good condition.
• STAGE 3 - SOFT START - the rectifier gradually increases the charging current to reach the set charging current.
• STAGE 4 - PULSE CHARGE - the battery is charged with pulse current (pulse fluctuations take place in the DC current range).
• STAGE 5 - RECONDITIONING – preparation stage for charging in the bulk charge stage.
• STAGE 6 - BULK CHARGE – charging with a constant current value to the previously set voltage (14.4÷14.7V).
• STAGE 7 - ABSORPTION CHARGE – after reaching the required degree of battery charge, there will be a change to constant voltage (CV) charging and the charging process will be completed.
• STAGE 8 - EVALUATION DIAGNOSTIC – automatic monitoring of battery voltage after charging.
• STAGE 9 - MAINTENANCE CHARGE – stage supporting the battery (float) and monitoring its condition; resumes charging with reduced current if necessary.
