Advantages of microprocessor control

  • Constant Voltage: Using DC voltage to charge the battery checking that the charging current is not too high reducing it during the process.
  • Constant Current: This means that the battery voltage is lower than the set voltage of the charger, but the charger will support the constant charging current of the battery.
  • Trickle Charge Modulation: When the battery voltage approaches the rated voltage and the charging current is already low to the set current, it will switch to floating charge modulation mode. This means that the battery is charged, but it is constantly checked for voltage drops and recharged automatically with alternating current.
  • Floating Charge Modulation: The mode will maintain the state of full charge of the battery.

8-Step Charging

  • STEP 1: DIAGNOSTICS: analysis of the battery, its state of charge and the correctness of connections between the battery and rectifier.
  • STEP 2: DESULPHURIZATION: recognizing the sulphurized battery, charging with low voltage and high intensity pulsating current allows the sulphate to be removed from the battery plates, thus restoring its initial capacity.
  • STEP 3: ANALYSIS: checking whether the battery is not damaged and whether it can accept charging current - prevents charging the damaged battery.
  • STEP 4: SOFT START: if the battery is not damaged, a relatively low current charge (about 15%), gradually increasing its value, begins.
  • STEP 5: ESSENTIAL CHARGING: constant current maximum charging with a value automatically adjusted depending on the state of charge of the battery, until 80% of the battery capacity is reached.
  • STEP 6: FINAL CHARGING: charging with decreasing current and constant voltage until 100% of the battery capacity is reached.
  • STEP 7: ANALYSIS: battery charge test lasting about 2 minutes – if the battery charge level does not decrease after stopping charging, the charging process is completed.
  • STEP 8: PULSING: monitoring the battery voltage and maintaining an optimal charge of 95-100% of the capacity through charging current pulses.

Security Features

  • Surge protection - protection is activated when setting the charging voltage other than the detected parameter.
  • Battery diagnostic function - the rectifier constantly monitors the condition of the battery.
  • Overheating protection: When the temperature of the charger exceeds 150°C, the charger will stop charging. When the temperature is reduced to 80°C, or the rectifier turns off for about 10 minutes, after this time you can charge the battery again.
  • Short-circuit protection: When a short circuit occurs, the circuit will automatically stop working. This will be manifested by a long beep. Just plug in the charger thoroughly, then it will automatically recharging.
  • Reverse-connecting protection: While the terminals (+/-) will be connected by mistake in reverse, the charger will alert you in the form of intermittent long beeps. After the terminals are properly connected, it will be recharged.

Modern PWM charging technology with MCU

In the PM-PM-40B model, the 6V/12V auto-detection system does not require the user to set the appropriate value on the control panel.

PWM (English) Pulse-Width Modulation) – is a method of adjusting a current or voltage signal, with a constant amplitude and frequency, consisting in changing the signal filling. The PWM system powers the device directly or through a low-pass filter smoothing changes in electrical current and voltage.

The percentage charge display allows you to further control the status of your battery. The large display informs about the current state of charge by displaying information in the percentage system.

Very high charging efficiency at positive temperatures. With advanced control of charging processes, the efficiency of the rectifier is 98%, which makes it incomparable to traditional types of rectifiers without this type of technology.
