Advanced microprocessor battery tester YATO YT-83114 is a professional diagnostic instrument dedicated to comprehensive control of electrical installations of vehicles with a voltage of 12 V. The device allows you to instantly determine the state of battery charge (SOC),degree of internal wear (SOH) and precise diagnostics of the efficiency of the starting system (starter) and alternator (charging system).

Thanks to the extended inrush current measurement range (from 100 to 2000 A CCA), the tester can handle the diagnostics of motorcycle, passenger, delivery and heavy construction and agricultural machinery. The YT-83114 works with all commonly used battery technologies, including traditional lead-acid, deep discharge (Gel/GEL), glass mats (AGM) and high-life batteries used in cars with a Start-Stop system (EFB).

Operational and health and safety recommendations

Test preparation tips: To get the most accurate result, the battery posts (poles) must be perfectly clean. Any traces of tarnish, snow, rust or grease should be removed with a special brush for cleaning the klem. The transition resistance at the dirty contact can drastically underestimate the measured inrush current of the CCA. When testing the battery directly in the vehicle, make sure that the motor and all current receivers (radio, air conditioning, indoor lighting) are turned off.

Operational safety: Personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and work gloves, should be used when working with acid batteries to prevent accidental contact with the electrolyte. Measurements must not be made near sources of fire, sparks or sparked electrical equipment.
