It is not worth investing in 3in1 sensors! Gas, smoke and carbon monoxide have different physical properties and each requires installation at different heights.

• Natural gas is lighter than air - mount the sensor high.

❗ MANDATORY INSTALLATION OF SMOKE AND CARBON MONOXIDE DETECTORS

Since 2024, it has included a amendment to the Regulation of the Ministry of the Interior and Administration: installation of smoke and carbon monoxide (carbon monoxide) detectors is mandatory in all new residential buildings.

How to properly install the sensor?

Install the correct type of sensor correctly to prevent the alarm from going off unnecessarily.

1. smoke and high temperature sensor – ceiling mounting (preferably in the central point of the room)
2. natural gas sensor (methane) – wall mounting not lower than 50cm from the ceiling
3. chad sensor – wall mounting in the range of 70 - 180 cm (preferably at the eye level of an adult)
4. LPG gas sensor (propane-butane) – wall mounting at least 30 cm above the floor.

In the dead zone (in the figure marked in gray) you should not install any detectors, because they may not work properly or measurements may be falsified.
