How to choose sticks and start walking?
At the very beginning, we need to know what Nordic walking poles look like and not be tempted by chance by trekking poles, which are often sold as Nordic poles.
In Nordic walking poles should be primarily:
- gloves, not belts,
- smooth, fine handle, not thick, profiled "mushroom".
The main thing is also to choose poles, to our height,
To choose the right height of the sticks, set them vertically and grab the handle.
The poles are the right height if the angle of deflection in the elbow is approximately 90 degrees.
You can also use the conversion factor, which will allow you to get the right amount:
Our height x 0,68 = Proposed pole length for us
