1. Connect the antenna cable to the left input of the signal meter, while the right input connects to the power supply or to the battery basket. Disconnect the external amplifier from the antenna if one is connected.
2. Position the antenna in the best position by observing the meter indications. (The higher the scale, the better the signal).
3. If the device reading reaches full scale, adjust the level control knob to reduce the reading to about 5 (turning the knob clockwise will reduce the reading), continue moving the antenna until you reach the highest possible meter reading.
4. Disconnect the signal meter and connect the previously disconnected amplifier
