Introducing FiiO FF1

FiiO FF5 and FF3 have proven to be well-received members of the FF family, and their precise positioning and unique, yet well-made design have won the hearts of many.

We wanted to let even more listeners experience the sound quality of the FiiO FF series. Therefore, in an effort to retain the unique design and features of the previous FF headphones in an optimized, affordable design, we present the newest and youngest member of the FF family – FiiO FF1.

Extra large dynamic driver

The FF1 is equipped with a large dynamic transducer with a diameter of 14.2 mm, rarely found in its nominal class. This driver not only consists of high-quality materials, but also introduces a new acoustic design. It belongs to the second generation of FiiO FF series dynamic units. Thanks to its scientifically engineered design, the FF1 driver's resonant frequency helps produce more extended, dynamic and textured bass, which directly translates into an overall better listening experience.

PU and beryllium coated membrane

The transducer and its diaphragm are the core of the earphone where sound is generated. To ensure sound quality that goes beyond its nominal class, we have optimized the selection of high-quality materials for the transducer, while also making them available at an affordable price. The FF1 driver is not only very stiff, lightweight and well damped [1], but also features a special suspension system with a gasket to allow the driver to move better. This results in improved quality and powerful bass, pleasant midrange and vocals, creating a sound that simply exudes atmosphere.

[1] The beryllium-coated diaphragm is very stiff yet lightweight, which helps reduce unwanted damage to the driver and therefore has lower distortion. Bass-enhancing acoustic channels

Sound comes from air movement, which is why acoustic engineers focus on how to use it appropriately. This solution not only contributes to the elegant appearance of the FF1 headphones, but also allows for smooth airflow inside them. Most importantly, the duct can resonate the frequency of the body and reduce bass loss, providing deeper, yet cleaner, high-quality bass.

High quality bass

When the FF1 is worn open[3], the effective frequency response[4] reaches an astonishing 38Hz, allowing the listener to become more immersed in the music. For better bass quality, it is recommended to use the headphones with the included foam covers.

Open sound, high comfort

For in-ear headphones users, comfort is one of the highest priorities. To ensure even greater comfort, based on extensive user feedback for the FF series, we have optimised the diameter of the earbuds that contact the ear, reducing it from 16.5mm to 16.2mm.

Ultra light

As affordable, entry-level in-ear headphones, the FF1 will likely be used in a wide range of scenarios and for extended periods of time – so we needed to ensure the headphones were comfortable for long listening sessions. The weight of a single FF1 earphone is only 3.2g, making it almost imperceptible in the ears, ensuring excellent comfort during long-term wearing.

Comfortable even when you lie on your side

Without compromising sound quality, acoustic engineers carefully minimized the size of the headphones so that they do not protrude from the ears during use, allowing them to be used comfortably even when sleeping or lying on their side. Whether you're watching movies, gaming, or listening to music in bed, FF1 is there for you every night.

Silicone rings and hooks

The FF1 headphones come with three pairs of non-slip silicone rings in different sizes to ensure they stay comfortably in your ear, regardless of your ear size. Furthermore, the open-back design [7] of the FF1 makes them suitable for activities such as hiking or cycling. That's why the FF1 also comes with a pair of silicone wing hooks that allow you to fully enjoy Hi-Fi sound even while exercising.

Cable remote control with built-in microphone

The FF1 features a built-in remote that lets you answer calls with a single button. It also features an HD microphone for high-quality calls. The FF1 can also be used as a Hi-Fi gaming headset, allowing you to freely share information using the HD microphone while being completely immersed in the game's audio. *FF1 includes a Type-C adapter cable, compatible with many Android devices.

Detachable 0.78mm 2-pin cable

FiiO FF1 comes with a detachable cable with a 2-pin 0.78mm connector, paving the way for future upgrades to your listening experience. FiiO compacts the bulky 2-pin 0.78mm connector into a tiny oval shape, which provides a non-intrusive feeling when lying on your side. Additionally, the left earphone connector also features a handy touch indicator that allows you to easily distinguish the left and right cable channels.

Two sets of sponge pads

With two different types of foam earpads included, you can fine-tune the sound of the FF1 to your exact taste.
