➡ How to care for the battery? Instructions for proper use

In order for your battery to remain at maximum efficiency and life for many years, follow the following principles of cell physics:

⭐ Avoid deep discharge: Never allow the voltage on the battery to drop below 10.5V for a long time. Deep discharge begins the rapid process of sulphating the plates, which drastically reduces the capacity of the battery.

⭐ Charge prophylactically before winter: Temperature drop drastically reduces the electrical efficiency of the battery. Before the first frost, connect the FUMO P15 rectifier and charge the battery to 100%.

⭐ Regular recharging over short distances: If you use the car mainly in urban traffic jams (short routes under 10 km), the alternator does not have time to fully recharge the battery. We recommend prophylactically connecting the rectifier once a month.

⭐ Keep your blade clean: Snow and dirt on the poles of the battery increase electrical resistance and hinder current flow. Before connecting the rectifier, make sure that the clamps are clean.

1. Is the P15 rectifier suitable for charging batteries in Start-Stop systems?

Yes. The rectifier fully supports advanced AGM and EFB batteries, which are commonly used in vehicles equipped with an eco-friendly Start-Stop system.

2. How does Auto-Memory work?

The device has a built-in memory chip. In the event of a sudden power outage in the network (e.g. during a storm), when the power returns, the rectifier will automatically resume operation in the last selected charging mode. You do not need to reconfigure the device manually.

3. Can I charge LiFePO4 batteries?

Yes. The P15 has a dedicated, safe charging program for lithium iron phosphate batteries (LiFePO4) and classic lithium batteries (Lithium).

4. What do I do if my battery is heavily sulphurized?

Connect the rectifier, select REPAIR mode on the panel and let the device work for about 16 hours. Pulse Charge System technology will break down sulfur deposits on lead plates. After this time, switch the rectifier to a standard charging program to fully charge the reborn battery.

5. Does the cooling fan work all the time?

The fan is active in high load phases (when the rectifier provides high current, e.g. 15A). In the final phase (maintenance charging) or in the absence of load, the fan automatically slows down or turns off to ensure quiet operation.
