The eXtremestyle® charger is equipped with innovative solutions and protections:

• automatic and reliable control of battery charge - after reaching a certain voltage, or automatic drop in charging current;
• monitoring the voltage after charging - automatic resumption of charging in the event of a voltage drop on the battery;
• charger eliminates the phenomenon of sulphation of batteries, which may arise during charging;
• "winter" mode - guarantees full and efficient charging of the battery, even at very low ambient temperature;
• "reactivation/resuscitation" mode - a special charging mode - in the case of extremely discharged batteries, the charger uses a limited charging current with single pulses until a safe voltage is reached that allows for faster charging - the charger itself decides on the need to use this mode;
• detachable cable equipped with a quick-connect SAE type, allows you to adjust the charger to your needs, standard equipment includes crocodile tips and eyelet terminals;
• charger equipped with a set of protection against short circuits, against incorrect connection of poles, against overheating, overloading, overcharging, etc.

The eXtremestyle® SBC-61238 rectifier has a SAE connector to which crocodiles or eyelet terminals can be connected depending on the needs. Installing eyelet terminals permanently in the vehicle makes it easy and quick to connect the rectifier from the electrical system.

CHARGING STAGES:

The 8-stage charging process ensures optimal charging parameters:

• STEP 1: DIAGNOSTICS: analysis of the battery, its state of charge and the correctness of connections between the battery and rectifier
• STEP 2: DESULPHURIZATION: recognition of the sulphurized battery, charging with low voltage and high intensity pulsating current allows the sulphate to be removed from the battery plates, so that its initial capacity is restored
• STEP 3: SOFT START: checking whether the battery is not damaged and whether it can accept charging current (prevents charging of the damaged battery); if the battery is not damaged, charging begins gradually increasing the charging current
• STEP 4: ESSENTIAL CHARGING: constant current maximum charging with a value automatically adjustable depending on the state of charge of the battery, until 80% of the battery capacity is reached
• STEP 5: FINAL CHARGING: charging with decreasing current and constant voltage to reach 100% battery capacity
• STEP 6: ANALYSIS: battery charge test lasting about 2 minutes – if the battery charge level does not decrease after stopping charging, the charging process is completed
• STEP 7: MAINTENANCE: keeping the battery charged at maximum level by charging with constant voltage current
• STEP 8: PULSING: monitoring the battery voltage and maintaining an optimal charge of 95-100% capacity through charging current pulses
