  • Gamintojas: Polion

The original POLION product is uncompromising quality, safety and reliability. The highest quality components and a modern production line allow you to get the final product that meets the expectations of the most demanding user.

The car inverter is a device that converts constant current with a voltage of 24V into alternating current with a voltage of 230V which is a standard throughout the European Union and most countries in the world. Designed for use in passenger cars, motorhomes and other places where there is no access to the electrical network.

⭐ Purpose:

✅ Powering devices in a wide range of power consumption such as: laptops, chargers (e.g. for phones, drones, power tools), TVs, monitors, power tools, small household appliances, etc.

✅ Compatible with all electrical and electronic equipment due to pure sinusoidal output waveform.

The converter easily supports angle grinder or drill power tools.

The shape of the output waveform - pure sine wave.

The shape of the output waveform of the converters is either pure sine wave or modified. The choice of type of converter depends on the devices it is supposed to power.

Pure sine wave is the same course as in the power grid. Thus, it will be correct to cooperate with all devices, even those very sensitive to the shape of voltage, or having AC motors.

Modified sine wave is a cheaper and simpler solution. It allows for the correct operation of most electronic devices. However, it will be not recommended or harmful to cooperate with devices with alternating current electric motors, such as fridges with aggregate, power tools. It is true that you can connect such tools, they will work, but it is harmful to them. There are also other devices that are very sensitive to the shape of voltage, but they are rare.

All our inverters are safe for equipment and produce pure sine wave.

✅ Full protection for connected devices

The intelligent control system and fan ensuring proper cooling are responsible for the proper operation of the equipment and safety. The fan is controlled automatically depending on the temperature of the components. The converter is equipped with a number of specially designed protections guaranteeing full protection of connected m.in devices:

UVP - protection against too low supply voltage,

OVP - protection against too high supply voltage,

OTP - protection against overheating,

SCP - short-circuit protection,

OPP - overload protection;

✅ Thoughtful design

The device is designed for convenient use regardless of where you are. The converter housing is made of high-quality aluminum, which is lightweight, durable and dissipates heat well.

The front of the converter has a type E power socket, used by m.in. in Poland and one USB-A connector for charging 5V/3,1A, one USB-C connector with a power of 30W. On the front there is also a screen, which indicates information such as: battery status, input/output voltage, power, voltage frequency or error information. In the back of the converter, a fan is installed to ensure proper cooling and plus and minus connectors, under which the battery is connected.

The set includes:

  • Inverter
  • Cables for connection to the battery
  • Inverter control remote control
  • Cable responsible for communication between the remote control and the converter
  • User manual in Polish

General Notes on Power Inverters.

Most power inverters use a 12V power supply, which is very common and convenient. However, this has some downsides based on basic physics that you should be aware of when using them.

  • The current on the 12V side can reach very high values. For example, the nominal current for a 1000W inverter is approximately 90A.

High currents require the use of power cables with large cross-sections for two reasons:

  • The first, obvious reason, is cable heating. This is unlikely to burn through the cable itself, but it can easily melt the insulation and create a fire risk for nearby materials.
  • The second reason is voltage drop, which is very significant for a 12V system. Using a cable that is too thin can easily cause a situation where you have 12V at the battery, but with the inverter under load, the voltage drops by, for example, 2V along the cable. This will cause the inverter to shut down due to insufficient supply voltage. Therefore, the length and cross-section of the power cables are very important.

When selecting the power of an inverter, remember:

  • An inverter should not continuously operate at its full power. Therefore, select an inverter such that the rated power of the connected devices does not exceed approximately 80% of the inverter's capacity.
  • Some devices draw significantly more power for a short time when they start up. This includes anything with a motor. In such cases, the inverter's power should be considerably higher to handle the temporary surge in demand. The additional power reserve needed depends heavily on the specific type of device being connected, making it difficult to provide an exact guideline.

DC Power Circuit Protection:

  • Practically all inverters have DC circuit fuses. These are built-in and soldered to eliminate contact points (due to high currents).
  • Internal fuses should never blow during normal operation. They primarily protect the unit in case of device malfunction.
  • When connecting an inverter, we recommend using external fuses on the DC line. We offer these, and they should be available for purchase at the top of the listing. They should be installed close to the power source, meaning the battery. This protects the wiring from issues like accidental short circuits occurring somewhere along the power line running to the inverter, such as a wire chafing to ground or accidental shorting near the inverter's DC terminals.
