Simple and effective car hook module for 12V installation (with a minus on the weight) and a typical 7 pin trailer socket.

The module protects the car computer against:

- excessive load on trailer bulbs

- possible short circuits in the electrical system of the trailer

The module is not a significant load for the computer because the power consumption of the module is very small: 1-2 mA / input.

Module designed for 12V installation. Maximum load 5A per output, max total load 15A. The module can be used in CAN installations and installations with LED lighting. Of course, it must be possible to download the +12V signal with the bulb on (e.g. direction indicator or stop) for example at the lamp. The module draws a very small current of 1-2 mA per input so it does not cause lighting errors in the car - a typical even a small 12V 5W bulb draws about 400-500 mA.

The module typically does not work with installations where 2 functions (e.g. Position and stop) are realized with a single-fiber bulb via PWM - but this can usually be easily bypassed by taking the STOP signal ("54") from the third stop of the car, while the position light signal ("58L" and "58R") from the license plate light of the car.

Of course, the module works seamlessly with installations where 2 functions (e.g. Position and alloy) are realized with one 2-fiber bulb (e.g. 21/5W).

Connecting the module is very simple. It should be installed in a dry place inside the car.

Connect the black cable to the mass (-12V) and the red cable to the + battery via a 15A fuse.

Next, according to the scheme below - the module has 6 INPUTS (through a convenient connector connected to the module) - they should be properly connected, for example, to the rear lighting bulbs of the car (of course, on the + power side of the bulb).

The last step is to connect 6 OUTPUTS (wires coming directly from the module) to the trailer socket.

Typical circuits:

- "L" input (yellow cable of module plug) is left direction indicator / pin 1 trailer socket

- "54G" input (blue wire) is rear fog lights / pin 2 trailer sockets

- weight (minus 12V) / pin 3 trailer sockets

- "R" input (green wire) is the right direction indicator / pin 4 trailer sockets

- "58R" input (brown wire) is the right position light / pin 5 trailer sockets

- "54" input (grey wire) is STOP / pin lights 6 trailer sockets

- "58L" input (white wire) is left position light + license plate / pin 7 trailer sockets

The module is sent in a black or light gray housing - depending on the availability of the module. The difference is only in the housing, both versions are technically identical: the same connection, the same operation, etc.

The size of the black housing is about 9x8 cm, thickness 4cm.

The size of the grey casing is about 11x6 cm, thickness 3,5cm.

Electronic module + wiring harness is included.
