A round bamboo steamer is an Asian dish for steaming or heating food with steam. This method of thermal processing of prepared dishes allows you to maintain the maximum of valuable minerals, vitamins and taste qualities.

The steamer consists of two solidly made strainers and a lid. This allows for the simultaneous preparation of two dishes - e.g. meat and vegetables. The steamer is suitable for preparing virtually all dishes.

We can e.g. fish and seafood dishes, meat dishes, vegetables, frozen foods, Japanese Shao mai dumplings, Dim Sum dumplings, desserts, groats and rice.

It is moisture resistant, does not decay, dries quickly. When steaming food, it absorbs moisture. This means that the food is not wet from excess water.

When cooking, avoid lifting the lid as often as possible. The water level should not come into contact with food. Frozen fish products, meat should be completely thawed before steaming. Vegetables can be steamed without thawing.

In the case of longer cooking, remember to refill the water. In order to emphasize and diversify the taste and aroma of our dishes, we can add some dry white wine, lemon juice, fresh and dried herbs, cubed broth, spices and tea to the water before evaporation.

Before first use, the steamer should be washed gently with water alone. Because it is made of natural bamboo, the color of the water will be light brown at the first evaporation. However, coloration is not harmful to health.

After use, clean the steamer with water and dry.

Do not wash in the dishwasher.
