Shelly BLU Motion is a small, intelligent PIR motion sensor with built-in light intensity measurement. It uses energy-efficient Bluetooth technology to quickly detect movement and can trigger home automation scenarios.

No wires or external power supply required. The compact white housing allows you to discreetly place it in the bedroom, hallway, kitchen, dressing room or other room.

The product comes from the original Shelly Smart Security Bundle and is sold individually, without individual factory packaging. The device has a CR2477 battery installed.

Fast motion detection - response below 100 ms

In a smart home, response time counts. Shelly BLU Motion detects motion in less than 100 milliseconds, allowing you to quickly trigger properly configured scenarios.

You enter the hallway and the light automatically turns on. You open the wardrobe door, and the lighting can start when motion is detected. When no one uses the room for a certain period of time, the system can turn off unnecessary lamps.

The sensor provides information about movement, and the implementation of programmed actions is carried out by connected devices or automation system. The actual start time of the action also depends on the communication and configuration of the system.

Wide Motion Detection Area

Shelly BLU Motion detects movement from a distance of up to 9 meters and offers a detection angle up to 120°. This allows you to observe a significant part of the room without the need to install several sensors in a small space.

Built-in sensitivity adjustment allows you to adjust the response to a specific location. There are three levels to choose from: low, medium and high.

Proper device placement and sensitivity selection help reduce unwanted automation triggering. The actual detection range depends, among other things, on the method of installation and ambient conditions.

Lighting that adapts to you

Thanks to the built-in brightness sensor Shelly BLU Motion can participate in automations taking into account both the detected movement and the amount of light in the room.

Example: you come home in the evening. The sensor detects movement and the system automatically turns on the light in the hallway. However, if the room is bright enough, the lighting may remain off.

In this way, the lamps work when they are really needed, without having to remember about the switches.

Automation tailored to your day

Shelly BLU Motion can work with other compatible Shelly devices to create practical smart home scenarios.

• Morning - when motion is detected in the bedroom, the system can automatically raise the blinds using the appropriate controller.
• Exit from home - inactivity for a certain period of time can be used as a condition for turning off the lighting.
• Back in the evening - automatic switching on of lamps in the hallway or living room.
• Nightly moving around the house - starting dimmed lighting in cooperation with the appropriate dimmer.

Scenarios can be adapted to your own habits, used controllers and available capabilities of the automation system.

You know what happens at home, even when you’re not there

When you integrate Shelly BLU Motion with a compatible gateway and the Shelly Smart Control app, you can set up notifications to let you know when motion is detected.

This is a useful solution when you want to monitor activity in a selected room, check events in the absence or use the sensor as part of your home notification system.

A properly configured Bluetooth gateway, an internet connection and the Shelly Smart Control app are required to receive remote notifications.

Compact and convenient to install

Shelly BLU Motion has small dimensions, so it is easy to find a place for it on the wall or in the corner of the room.

No need for electrical installation allows you to install the sensor also in ready-made, finished interiors.

The device may be placed in a place providing an appropriate field of observation, as recommended by the manufacturer. The white housing remains discreet and does not dominate visually in the room.

Works with Shelly and Home Assistant

Shelly BLU Motion uses Bluetooth Low Energy and supports the BTHome protocol for integration with compatible smart home systems.

Shelly Smart Control: A compatible gateway is needed to operate the sensor through the application, for example Shelly BLU Gateway or the corresponding Shelly Plus, Pro, Gen3 or Gen4 device with Bluetooth gateway support.

Home Assistant: BTHome support enables integration using the appropriate Bluetooth receiver or proxy and the correct system configuration.

The sensor independently detects movement and transmits information via Bluetooth. The gateway is needed to pass this information to the Shelly Smart Control app and perform the related remote functions.

Bluetooth gateway is not part of this offer.

Energy-efficient battery power

Shelly BLU Motion is designed for low power consumption. The use of Bluetooth Low Energy communication allows for long-term use without the need to connect the device to an external power supply.

The sensor is powered by a CR2477 3 V lithium battery, which can be replaced when it is exhausted.

The battery is already installed in the offered device.

Actual operating time depends on sensor settings, motion detection intensity, selected operating mode and operating conditions.

Product from the original Shelly Smart Security Bundle

The offered Shelly BLU Motion sensor comes from the original Shelly Smart Security Bundle, in which the manufacturer places several Bluetooth devices and a communication gateway.

Devices in such a set do not have separate, individual commercial packaging. Therefore, the sensor is offered separately, without a factory unit box.

The subject of the offer is:

• 1 x Shelly BLU Motion sensor in white.
• 1 x CR2477 3 V battery installed in the device.

The offer does not include other devices or the Shelly BLU Gateway from the Smart Security Bundle.
