Panoramic full face mask with filter set 3M 6055 A2 + 5911 P1 R + 501

Universal set for painting, renovation and finishing works, providing comprehensive protection of the respiratory tract and face. The full-face panoramic mask shields the eyes, nose and mouth, while the large, transparent viewfinder provides a wide field of view and good control of the work performed.

The kit uses a combined filtration system: main filters 3M 6055 class A2 provide protection against specific organic vapours, while pre-filters 3M 5911 P1 R provide additional protection against particles and aerosols. Pre-filters are attached to absorbers 6055 using reusable handles 3M 501.

Advantages of a panoramic full face mask

The full-face design provides more comprehensive protection than a standard half mask. In addition to the respiratory tract, it also protects the eyes and a significant part of the face from pollution occurring during work.

The large panoramic viewfinder provides a wide field of view, which is particularly important during precise painting, spray varnishing and quality control of the applied coating.

Two side mounts of the filters allow you to evenly distribute their weight and leave the central part of the field of view free. The bayonet system allows for quick installation and replacement of compatible filters.

3M 6055 A2 — main organic vapour absorber

3M 6055 has a class A2 and is designed to protect against specific organic vapours with a boiling point above 65°C.

This is especially important during paint jobs, as many paints, varnishes, adhesives, cleaners and solvents can release organic steam into the air.

The most important advantages of 3M 6055:

• class A2 — protection against specific organic gases and vapours;
• suitable for many jobs with paints, varnishes and solvent-based materials;
• can be part of the protective system used during painting and varnishing;
• low-profile design helps maintain a good field of view;
• convenient and secure bayonet mount;
• two absorbers ensure even distribution of weight on both sides of the mask.

3M 5911 P1 R — replacement pre-filter

On the 3M 6055 absorber is mounted pre-filter 3M 5911 class P1 R. It is a particle filter designed to protect against specific solid particles and liquid aerosols.

During painting, varnishing and surface preparation, the pre-filter performs a very important function. It retains some of the dust and aerosol particles, thus helping to reduce contamination of the main absorber.

A big advantage of such a design is the possibility of separate replacement of the pre-filter without the need to replace the absorber 6055 at the same time. This allows for more economical operation of the entire filtration system.

3M 501 — pre-filter holder

The transparent handle 3M 501 is used to attach the pre-filter to the main absorber.

The system creates one compact set:

mask → 3M 6055 A2 → 3M 5911 P1 R → handle 3M 501

The handle keeps the pre-filter stable on the absorber and allows it to be replaced quickly. Thanks to this, the most exposed to dirt element can be replaced independently of the main absorber.

The pre-filter takes over a significant part of the impurities with particles, helping to reduce their deposition directly on the main filter 6055.

Why does this kit work well during paint jobs?

The biggest advantage of the set is the combination of several levels of protection in one system. The 3M 6055 A2 absorber is responsible for protection against specific organic pairs, while the 3M 5911 P1 R provides additional particle filtration. The full-face design of the mask simultaneously protects the airways, eyes and face.

Modular construction allows separate replacement of individual elements. In practice, this means that the dirty pre-filter can be replaced without unnecessarily disposing of the main absorber.

The kit can be used during painting and varnishing works, renovation and finishing works, surface preparation and work with appropriate paints, varnishes, adhesives, cleaning agents and solvents, provided that the type and concentration of substances present correspond to the scope of protection of the filters used.

Important: filter 5911 has a class P1 R, therefore this particular set should not be presented as providing the highest possible level of protection against fine aerosols. For intensive spray coating, high dustiness or other demanding applications, class P2 or P3 filtration may be necessary. The selection of masks and filters should always be adapted to the type of product used, safety data sheet (SDS), concentration of impurities and ventilation conditions.
