The XS01-M fire detector is a device that is supposed to stay awake for years and at this one crucial moment work flawlessly to save human life or property. XS01-M acts as an optical smoke detector and regularly analyzes the air in the room, taking 3 samples every 10 seconds. Thanks to this, the photoelectric sensor reacts to visible smoke, which appears already in the initial phase of the fire.

If one of the connected sensors detects smoke, the other devices will also trigger an alarm. As a result, the threat detected, e.g. In the living room, garage or on the ground floor, it can also trigger an alarm in the bedroom or on another floor.

Thanks to this, homeowners can hear the alarm regardless of which part of the house smoke appears.

Directly connect up to 24 compatible devices, and the transmission range in open space is up to 500 m.

You don’t need Wi-Fi or an app for that. The sensors communicate with each other wirelessly.

No more replacing batteries every year

The most popular cheap sensors run on a 9 V battery, which needs to be replaced about once a year, and their warranty is 2-3 years.

For 10 years it is about 9 new batteries and 9 ladder entrances.

The XS01-M uses a replaceable CR123A 3 V lithium battery, which can run up to 5 years, and the life of the sensor itself is up to 10 years. The warranty is 5 years.

When the battery starts to weaken, the sensor will signal it with a short sound and a flicker of the diode every minute. Thanks to this, you limit the operation of the power supply to a minimum throughout its life.

After connecting the XS01-M to the SBS50 database, you can also receive low battery information in the X-Sense Home Security application.

Smoke or Chad?

XS01-M is a smoke detector, i.e. an autonomous smoke detector designed to detect fire hazards. Does not detect carbon monoxide, or carbon monoxide.

The carbon monoxide sensor is needed where fuel is burned, e.g. at the gas stove, boiler or fireplace.

Where to mount and how many pieces

One sensor protects up to 40 m². Thanks to this, it will work well in the bedroom, living room, child's room, office or in the hallway.

For a larger apartment or house, several sensors can be used in different rooms.

We do not recommend installing the sensor in the kitchen or bathroom, as it can cause a false alarm.

In addition, the TEST/SILENCE button allows you to quickly check the operation of the sensor. If necessary, it also allows you to temporarily mute the alarm for about 9 minutes.

After adding the SBS50 database, XS01-M can work with the X-Sense Home Security application.

This allows you to receive notifications on your phone about smoke detection and check the status of the sensor even when you are not at home.

The SBS50 database is not needed for basic sensor operation or for wireless connection of several XS01-M. It is needed when you want to use applications and remote notifications.

How to check if it works

Press the TEST button — the sensor will sound a loud alarm, the red LED will flash 3 times every 4 seconds, and the device will emit 3 beeps every 4 seconds.

The TEST button is used for checking. Do not check the sensor with smoke from a lighter or cigarette.
