Shelly BLU Door/Window is a small wireless Bluetooth sensor that detects the opening and closing of a door or window. In addition to the reed, it also has a light intensity sensor and measurement of the angle of inclination, thanks to which it can be used in more extensive automations.

The brown version has been prepared for installation on wooden and brown frames, doors and furniture, where the white sensor would be much more visible.

Discreet sensor for wooden doors and windows

The sensor consists of a main part and a magnet. After changing their mutual position, the device detects opening or closing and can transmit this information to the smart home system.

The brown color scheme makes the device blend well with wooden joinery, window frames, doors and cabinets. The compact sensor housing is only 35 x 35 x 7 mm.

Automations that respond to opening

Shelly BLU Door/Window can act as an automation trigger. Information about the status of a door or window can trigger another device or scene in a compatible system.

Bluetooth and Shelly Smart Control

The sensor communicates via Bluetooth and does not have its own WiFi connection. To use it in the Shelly Smart Control app, you need a compatible Bluetooth gateway.

The gateway function can be Shelly BLU Gateway or a compatible Shelly Plus, Pro, Gen3 or Gen4 device with Bluetooth Gateway support. The sensor can also be used by the BTHome protocol in compatible smart home systems.
