Instructions for pairing with WiFi network:

1. On the reader enter the following combination (where 123456 is the default administrator code):*123456#90#123456#
2. Once the code is approved, the LED should pulsate green, signaling readiness for pairing.
3. Launch the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app and add the detected device.
4. Once successfully paired, accept a possible software update if proposed.

The scenario function allows you to create different conditions that, when met, trigger a specific action on smart devices.

A few examples:

• Create a schedule according to which access is unlimited on weekdays and working hours, while during off-work hours and weekends access is blocked and only authorized persons have access.
• The application will notify you, trigger an alarm, record a video in case of an attempted break-in (e.g. in combination with a door sensor).
• In combination with a smart alarm, you can arm the alarm when leaving the room (e.g. 20 seconds after pressing the exit button) and disarm it for a specified period of time when opening with a lock.
• In combination with the TUYA camera, once accessed, the camera will take a picture.

Interlock mode – Secure control of two passes

Interlock function (two-door mutual lock) is an advanced security mode used in places with a higher standard of access control – e.g. in warehouses, laboratory zones or mucus-type passages.

Function operation:

• The system manages two doors (marked as A and B) leading to a common passage.
• When you open the first door (e.g. A), the second door (B) is automatically locked – and vice versa.
• Passage is possible only after closing the previously opened door.
• This prevents both doors from opening at the same time and increases the safety of the passage.

Hardware requirements:

• It is necessary to use door closure sensors (door contact) – without them the mode will not be activated.
• The system works with electromagnetic locks (both fail-safe and fail-secure).

Is the TUYA / Smart Life / eWeLink app free?

Yes, all of these apps are available for free on Google Play and the App Store. Optional paid features such as e.g. sending SMS notifications to the phone number is not required for basic operation of devices – control and reception of notifications by the application remain free.

Do I need additional devices besides my phone?

It depends on the communication protocol of the device:

– Wi-Fi: all you need is a home Wi-Fi router that supports the 2.4 GHz band.

– Bluetooth: no additional devices are required.

– Zigbee: in addition to the Wi-Fi router, you must have a compatible Zigbee gateway (bridge/coordinator). Details available in product specification.

Is the application in Polish (or Czech)?

TUYA, Smart Life and eWeLink applications offer partial interface translation – many elements are available in Polish and Czech, but some functions and settings (including option names in scenes and automations) may be available in English. Still, using the app remains intuitive and convenient.

Is it difficult to configure devices?

The process of adding devices is usually very simple. After the first startup, many models automatically enter pairing mode (indicated by the pulsing of the LED), or it can be activated manually by holding the RESET button on the housing for 5 to 10 seconds. The application guides you step by step through the entire configuration process.

Will the device work without internet access?

Most Wi-Fi-based smart devices require a constant connection to the internet and the cloud (e.g. TUYA or eWeLink). In the absence of it, remote control and schedule and automation functions stop working. Selected Zigbee or Bluetooth devices can function locally if they work with an offline automation gateway.

I have a Smart Life app, will the TUYA device work in it?

Yes, TUYA devices work in the Smart Life app because both apps are based on the same platform. They differ mainly in the appearance of the interface and the brand, but the functionality remains the same. However, it is recommended to use only one of them on your phone to avoid pairing and connectivity issues.

Are TUYA and eWeLink compatible with each other?

No, TUYA and eWeLink devices use separate ecosystems and vendor clouds. This means that each device can only be added to the application for which it was designed.
