It offers you an electrical installation for the ORIS folding towbar No. 4G0800491 *, 4G8907383 controllers for Audi A7 and A6 C7 4G 2011r - 2014r, station wagon / sedan (originally installed in Audi vehicles), along with instructions for connection.

The installation is prepared for installation in the vehicle, has all the necessary connectors, connectors and detailed descriptions of wires, which together with the attached installation instructions will allow for relatively easy and quick connection of the installation to the car.

NOTE - There are 4 types of possible beams for the Audi A6 C7 4G, depending on whether the hook and/or controller is available in the pre-lift version until 2014 or after-lift version after 2015. After the auction, please provide the hook number with the letter ending (4G0800491 *) and the driver number (4G8907383 *).

Sold installation includes:

• complete described electrical harness with plugs for the originally used hook driver (from the hook plug in the trunk to the controller and inclusion in the vehicle installation), and a connector for the release button,
• instructions for connecting the electrical harness.

Sold installation does not include:

• hook with socket and beam from hook to connector in the trunk,

A little theory...

The lighting system of the Audi A6 C7 4G is not a typical installation (as in older models, e.g. A6 C5) based on switches and relays. Lighting control is carried out using a special controller that controls the lighting based on logical signals, while controlling the efficiency of the bulbs. Among other things, it is not possible to connect the trailer lighting in parallel to the bulbs in the lamps – the system will immediately recognize this as a lighting failure and disconnect the power supply of a given circuit, indicating it on the meter indicators.

The system used in ORIS “automatic” hooks is based on the so-called controller. trailer recognition. The controller after unfolding the hook and physically connecting the trailer lighting recognizes its presence,introduces correction of ESP system operation, disables parktronic PDC system,signals on the dashboard unprotected hook,signals damaged bulbs in the trailer, in the case of vehicles with air suspension reduces compressor wear,shock absorbers when towing a trailer or even carrying a bicycle hanger.

Connecting the universal controller does not provide the above-mentioned functions.
