The Canon EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM lens is a popular "pancake" among photographers. He received such a nickname thanks to its incredible dimensions. The lens was created for Canon SLR cameras with an APS-C sensor. After using the adapter (to be purchased separately), it will also work with Canon mirrorless cameras.
The lenses and halves used in the lens provide sharp images throughout the frame and the photos are crisp and saturated with color. The perfect final result is due to m.in. elimination of internal reflections of light (so-called. ghosting) and chromatic aberrations.
The autofocus motor made in STM technology, in addition to quickly and effectively focusing at the desired point, also allows smooth and almost silent focusing during filming. As a result, we get clean recordings, undisturbed by sounds and vibrations caused by the AF motor.
The large maximum aperture of f/2.8 ensures that a large dose of light reaches the matrix. This allows you to shoot in dark environments without the need for a flash. The same parameter is also responsible for the effect of a small depth of field, which exposes the object on a blurred background.
Small objects can be photographed from a distance of 16 cm. This allows you to fill them despite their small size and obtain a variety of compositions.
