According to the company’s assumption – freeing photographers from heavy equipment, Olympus introduces the most compact and lightest universal zoom of the PRO series with a constant aperture value1. The new M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-45mm F4.0 PRO features excellent optical quality across a wide focal range. It provides a sharp image over the entire surface of the frame, all the way to the edges. It has a compact, lightweight and weather-resistant design.

The biggest advantage of Olympus is the extraordinary mobility achieved thanks to its compact and lightweight system. This also applies to lenses that are up to half the size and half the weight of other manufacturers’ lenses. The combination of high resolution, optical performance and effective stabilization allows you to achieve sharp, top-quality photos and videos in all conditions. The M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-45mm F4.0 is the most compact lens in its class and a perfect complement to the M.Zuiko PRO lens line.

The M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-45mm F4.0 PRO optical system was inherited from the M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-40mm F2.8 PRO lens, which is known for its high quality.

The new lens is equipped with fast and precise autofocus that performs perfectly in all conditions. It has a dust, low temperature and splash resistant design. Seals used in 9 key locations protect against dust and rain, ensuring safety and reliability during even extreme outdoor sessions2.

Constant aperture over the entire focal range and high resolution over the entire frame area.

The perfectly designed placement of aspherical lenses and the use of ZERO (Zuiko Extra-low Reflection Optical) coatings ensures high optical quality and significantly reduces aberrations, sprites and flares, which ensures sharp, detailed shots. Minimal vignetting at the edges of the image allows for clear and precise reproductions of the scene up to the very edge of the frame. Because the aperture value is constant for all focal lengths, controlling exposure when zooming in or recording videos is extremely easy.

Excellent macro capabilities with a maximum magnification of 0,25x (0,5x for 35 mm format)

Macro shots with 0,25x magnification (0,5x for 35 mm format) are available for all focal values. This allows you to get creative images, such as a wide-angle macro, which emphasizes the importance of perspective, or a macro in a large close-up, focused on details, with a strongly blurred background.
