1 Check the compatibility of the chain pitch. Information regarding the chain pitch should be stamped near the mounting tip of the currently used guide, if the scale is not visible, it can be determined by measuring the distance from the center of the first to the center of the third rivet at any place of the chain that cooperates with the currently installed guide, the result of 16,25mm means the scale of 0,325, the result of 18,75mm means the scale of 3/8.

2 Verify the compatibility of the mounting tip. It is safest to measure the connection of the currently used guide and compare it with the photo on which the dimensions of the mounting tip of the offered guide were applied.

3 Compare the width of the guide groove in the guide. Information about this parameter should also be visible around the mounting tip of the guide being compared, usually it is a dimension in inches: .043’, .050’, .058’, .063’ respectively in mm: 1,1 1,3 1,5 ,1,6, if the markings are not visible you can check this dimension by measuring the width of the part of the chain link that enters the guide according to the drawing.

4 Count the links in the current chain according to the figure shown.
