DJI ROMO P2

Crumbs scattered in the kitchen, a spilled drink, hair on the floor, or a carpet that requires more intensive vacuuming – DJI ROMO P2 recognizes different types of dirt and adapts its workflow accordingly. It uses artificial intelligence and DJI technologies developed for drones, allowing it to analyze the environment and efficiently avoid chair legs and objects left on the floor. It offers suction power of up to 36,000 Pa, effectively cleans close to edges, reduces hair entanglement in the mechanism and detects even small obstacles with millimeter precision. It also easily overcomes two-step obstacles with a total height of up to 8.5 cm. The whole thing is complemented by an improved noise reduction system that reduces noise levels by up to 85% compared to the previous generation. The P2 version is also distinguished by its transparent base station. In addition to standard functions, it deodorizes the floor and disinfects the dust bag using UV light.

Precise cleaning of edges and carpets

DJI ROMO P2 effectively cleans not only open spaces. Thanks to its adaptive arm equipped with LiDAR, it also reaches hard-to-reach places where dirt often accumulates. The arm works in a 123° range, and compared to the previous generation, it reaches 7.8 cm further and allows mopping up to 4.5 cm deeper under suspended furniture. This allows the robot to precisely guide the mopping pad along straight walls, under cabinets, around chair legs and in corners. Once a carpet is detected, the lowered pressure plate partially seals the space near the floor, allowing you to use the suction power of up to 36,000 Pa and remove dust deep between the fibers. As a result, the device precisely cleans both hard-to-reach places near edges and surfaces that require more thorough vacuuming.

Strategy adapted to the type of dirt

Different types of dirt require different cleaning methods, so DJI ROMO P2 uses artificial intelligence to assess the situation and automatically adjust the cleaning method. When it detects easily scattered particles, such as cat litter, the robot slows down and limits the rotation speed of the side brush, then increases the suction power to effectively pick up the dirt without scattering it across the floor. If there is more dust on the surface, you can vacuum it first and only then start mopping, adapting the order of operations to the type of dirt. If a spill is detected, the robot bypasses the dirty area, cleans the rest of the floor, then returns to the stain and removes it using the robotic arm. Once the job is done, it goes to the base station where the mopping pads are cleaned before continuing. In tight spaces, for example between a bed and a wall, the device plans its passage accordingly and focuses on the longer edge to make the most of the available space.

Smarter movement, cleaner surfaces

DJI ROMO P2 intelligently determines not only the route, but also the operation of individual cleaning elements. In more challenging rooms, it first chooses wide, open spaces so it can avoid more difficult areas and return to them in due time. While vacuuming and after recognizing the carpet, it automatically lifts the mopping pads, protecting the carpet from moisture. In mopping mode, it raises the brushes, reducing the risk of transferring previously collected dirt to the cleaned surface. The robot can also lift the rear part of the housing when moving off the carpet, reducing the risk of it rolling up and moving.

A base station that keeps the robot clean

DJI ROMO P2 base station automatically prepares the robot for the next cleaning cycle. The nanocrystalline cleaning plate reduces dirt build-up, and four high-pressure water jets effectively clean its surface and edges. Dirt, hair and larger particles then enter the 16 mm diameter suction opening. This allows the board to operate for up to 365 days without maintenance. The station automatically dispenses detergent, washes pads at temperatures up to 80°C and dries them at 60°C, reducing the formation of unpleasant odors.

A comprehensive approach to cleaning

The effectiveness of cleaning is also influenced by the condition of the elements that come into contact with dirt. The station automatically dispenses ROMO detergent and floor refresher, and washes the pads at high temperature. After removing wet dirt, it also dries the dust container, reducing moisture, mold growth and unpleasant odors. The dust bag is additionally disinfected with UV light. The whole thing is complemented by an efficient filter that traps fine particles and supports thorough cleaning of floors.

85% less noise

Acoustic materials, multi-layer insulation and special damping chambers reduce noise generated when the robot is moving, mopping and emptying the dust container. Compared to the previous generation, the system reduces noise energy by up to 85%, and in silent mopping mode the volume can be as low as 38 dBA. Thanks to this, the device cleans effectively without disturbing the peace of the household.

DualSweep Design – less hair on the brushes

The side brushes, working in conjunction with the main brush as part of the DualSweep Design system, expand the sweeping area and direct dirt more effectively into the suction channel. Dual bristle bundles thoroughly collect dirt while limiting the scattering of larger particles. Their wide working angle of 120° also reduces the risk of hair getting tangled. Hair and fibers go directly to the main brush and are then sucked up, preventing them from accumulating on the robot's components. Because the side brushes sweep wider than the pads, the device collects dirt first and only then mops the floor, reducing the risk of spreading it across the clean surface.

Sees more, reacts faster

The advanced obstacle recognition system uses 3D ToF LiDAR, two wide-angle vision sensors and an additional LiDAR in the arm. This allows the robot to accurately analyze the surroundings and efficiently plan its route. The top anti-collision sensor makes it easier to avoid low-hanging obstacles. The system can detect even wires with a diameter of 2 mm. DJI technologies allow the device to use information about previously encountered objects and better respond to changes in the environment.

Better visibility in all conditions

Built-in lighting illuminates an area up to 2000 cm², making it easier for the robot to detect dust in dimly lit areas and choose the appropriate cleaning method. The improved perception system also recognizes transparent, stable obstacles over 6 cm high, such as glass doors, vases and plastic bags. Once they are detected, the device can plan the route in advance, avoid obstacles and avoid collisions. Even in unfavorable lighting conditions, the robot identifies difficult-to-see, dark power cables.

Overcoming thresholds up to 8.5 cm

Robotic legs enable DJI ROMO P2 to overcome single steps up to 4 cm high and two-step obstacles with a total height of up to 8.5 cm. Combining the leg mechanism with DJI mechatronics solutions allows the device to recognize obstacles and hover smoothly while overcoming them. This allows the robot to move freely between rooms and reach subsequent zones without the need for manual handling.

Do more with the DJI Home app

The DJI Home app provides convenient access to DJI ROMO P2 features, including a dirt map that shows where dirt accumulates most often. In a future update, you will be able to edit the map, including marking and moving furniture to tailor your cleaning strategy. The Remote Video Call function allows you to check on your home using the built-in camera, talk to family members and keep an eye on your pet. Camera access is protected by two-factor authentication, and video calls can be disabled.

55W of power for a quick return to work

Charging at 55W allows you to recharge from 0 to 100% in approximately 2.5 hours. During cleaning, ROMO P2 can independently return to the station when the charge level drops and then continue the task it started.
