Sone smart water valve DN25 (1″) allows you to remotely open and close the water supply and adjust the opening degree from 0 to 100%. Measures water consumption and temperature, which can be checked in the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app.
The device connects directly to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network and does not require a gateway. In the app, you can set a work schedule, water consumption limits and alarms. The valve can also operate in Tuya automation systems, for example by cutting off the flow when a leak is detected by a separate flood sensor.
The valve is powered by the included 5 V/2 A power supply. It is suitable for water installations with a 1″ connection where remote control of water supply and consumption is required.

Dimensions
The valve has a DN25 (1″) connection. The metal body is 122 mm long and the control module is 105 × 80 × 54 mm (length × width × height). The total height of the device including the body is 110 mm. Before installation, check that there is enough space in the installation for the valve and its cable.
How to mount the device?
- Turn off the water supply and make sure there is no pressure at the installation site.
- Check that the 1″ connections fit the installation and that there is enough space for the control module and cable.
- Install the valve according to the arrow cast on the metal body – it indicates the direction of water flow. The red pointer on the module shows the valve opening degree, not the flow direction.
- Seal threaded connections appropriate to the type of connections. After turning on the water supply, check the connections for leaks.
- Connect the valve cable to the included 5V/2A power adapter, then add the device to the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app.
How do I add a valve to the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app?
- Connect the valve to the included power supply and turn on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on your phone.
- Make sure your phone is connected to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. The valve does not support 5 GHz networks.
- Open the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app and select Add Device. The app should detect an ME220FW valve nearby.
- Select the detected device, select the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network, and enter its password. Once you have finished adding it, you can give the valve a custom name and assign it to a room.
If the app does not detect the valve, hold down the RESET button on the housing for about 5 seconds until the LED starts flashing quickly. Then try adding the device again.
Valve control in the Tuya Smart / Smart Life app
The main screen shows the current valve opening degree in percent. The CLOSE button closes the water supply and the MAX button opens the valve completely. Tapping the middle value allows you to set the opening from 0 to 100% using the slider.
Below are the water consumption readings for current use and total consumption for the day. The chart allows you to view history on a daily, monthly and yearly basis. At the top of the screen, the app shows the water temperature and weather data separately.
Set alarms and water usage limits
In the Alarm Set tab, you can separately set the automatic valve closing and phone notifications. Simply entering a limit does not enable closing - you must activate the appropriate switch.
- Per Use Alarm Shutoff: The valve will automatically close when the water consumption limit is exceeded during a single use.
- Per Use Limit: The amount of water after which the valve should close; the setting range is 0–5000 l.
- Daily Overuse Shutoff: The valve will automatically close when the total consumption for the day exceeds the set value.
- Daily Usage Limit – daily usage limit: setting range is 0–10,000 l.
- High Temp Limit / Low Temp Limit – Upper and Lower Water Temperature Thresholds: Used to set temperature notification thresholds. Exceeding these thresholds does not close the valve.
- Alarm Log – alarm history: a place where you can check recorded events.
In the Notification section, you can independently enable alerts for exceeding the Per-Use Alarm, Daily Overuse Alarm, and Low/High Water Temp Alarm.
Schedule and additional valve settings
In the Schedule Valve tab, you can select the operating time and set the percentage to which the valve should open . The schedule can run once or repeat on selected days. There is also an option to be notified when it is completed.
Other settings allow you to adjust the valve operation:
- Close Valve Countdown – countdown to close: closes the valve after the set time.
- Rust Protection – protection against stagnation: when the function is activated, the valve automatically moves once a month when it is powered.
- Power-Off Valve Status – behavior after a power outage: valve closed (Close), fully open (Max) or maintain current position (Hold to turn off)
- Water Volume Unit / Temp Unit – units: select liters or gallons and °C or °F.
- Self Check – self-test: checking the operation of the valve opening and closing.
Automatic water shut-off upon flooding detection
The valve can be connected in the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app to a compatible flood sensor. Simply create a scene: if the sensor detects water, the valve will set its opening to 0% and close the flow. This means the reaction does not require manual activation of the valve on the phone.
The flood sensor is a separate device and is not included in the set. To perform a scene, the devices must be powered and connected to the Tuya system.
