The IPS SINUS series of voltage converters is designed to power electrical and electronic devices requiring an alternating voltage of 230V from batteries and automotive installations with a solid voltage of 12V.

It is most often used in places where there is no possibility of direct connection to the power grid. One of the functions of the converter is to use as an emergency power source for devices requiring continuous power supply, such as piece, CO pumps, backup systems.

A characteristic feature of SINUS converters that distinguishes them from classic simple DC/AC converters is production at the output of alternating voltage with a sinusoidal waveform, identical to that in the power grid. This makes it possible to power devices equipped with electric motors and transformers, such as power tools, pumps and low-power household appliances. Simple, low-cost converters actually produce a voltage with a rectangular waveform, sometimes mistakenly called a "modified sine wave". Such voltage is not suitable for powering devices of an inductive or capacitive nature and may cause damage to them.
