The latest Vidia SJ002 juicer is the successor to the popular Oscar DA-1200.

Vidia juicers (Oscar) are available in two versions: older (Vidia SJ001) and newer (Vidia SJ002). Both are attractively priced, while maintaining relatively high quality.

The Vidia SJ002 compared to the older model (Vidia SJ001) are not huge, but there are a few features that deserve attention.

The wider batch hole, instead of the diameter of 3,8cm, now has dimensions of 4,5 x 4cm, which is the same as in the case of “high-end” juicers, e.g. Sany EUJ-606. Thanks to it, we no longer have to cut the raw material so finely.

More robust construction (reinforced sieve), which translates into greater reliability, as well as noticeably quieter operation.

Modern design, apart from the aforementioned differences, of course, is noticeable a change in appearance.

In addition, the Vidia SJ002 (Oscar DA-1200) is an excellent juicer in the Korean budget juicer group. It comes in three colors: white, burgundy, silver.

What distinguishes the Vidia SJ-002 juicer:

Slow-turning cold juicing technology – without heating and aeration. It allows you to get the maximum of vitamins, enzymes and other nutrients from the squeezed raw material in the form of healthy, natural juice.

Squeezed juice is the essence of all the best in fruits and vegetables, without burdening our digestive system with excess fiber. It is easily digestible and nutritious. What’s more, juicers (also Oscar DA-1200) together with fiber, in discarded pomace, remove many harmful chemicals, including heavy metals.

Versatility - Vidia SJ002 (Oscar DA-1200) does a good job of juicing most species of fruits, vegetables and herbs. It does well with both hard root vegetables (e.g. carrots, celery), fruit (e.g. apples, citrus), as well as leaf vegetables, grasses or sprouts. Slightly worse will work for squeezing soft fruits like pineapples, overripe pears or raspberries.

Squeezed juice stays fresh for a long time – up to 48 hours when stored in a closed dish in the refrigerator. This will be appreciated by busy people who do not have time to squeeze juice every day, but would like to drink it every day.

Five-step regulation of pulp dryness – allows you to adjust the degree of pulp imprinting in the juice depending on the species of squeezed fruits and vegetables.

Multifunctionality – Vidia SJ002 (Oscar DA-1200) has a practical set of additional functions, thanks to which it can be useful not only for juicing, but also for preparing various dishes, desserts, preserves, baked goods and other delicacies. Vidia SJ002 (Oscar DA-1200) can prepare mousses, purees, purees from vegetables or fruits, grind nuts, cheese or poppy seeds, cooked meat, fish as well as spices and herbs. Thanks to the various overlays, it can also form pasta, e.g. spaghetti.

Useful evaluation of Vidia juicer:

The Vidia SJ002 juicer is a former Oscar DA-1200 juicer. The manufacturer decided to end the production of juicers under the brand Oscar, replacing it with m.in. Vidia brand. Vidia and Oscar juicers are the same, they come from the same manufacturer, only the name has changed.

According to our assessment and comparisons, the new model of Vidia SJ002 juicers (Oscar DA-1200) is quite decent, compared to the older Oscar DA-1000 (Vidia SJ001). We can safely say that in its price group it is a leader.

Changes compared to the older version are primarily a larger batch hole, sieve reinforcement (which increases the strength of the juicer) and of course the appearance. We also observe a slightly quieter operation, although slow juicers are extremely quiet anyway, so differences at this level are not so noticeable.

The yield (juice yield from the raw material unit) of the Vidia SJ002 juicer (Oscar DA-1200) remained at the same average level. You should not expect here quite dry pulp, small losses will continue to occur.

The Vidia SJ002 juicer (Oscar DA-1200) like its predecessor Oscar DA-1000 still does not cope with squeezing very soft raw materials (ananases, raspberries, tomatoes or overripe pears) - this should be remembered when considering its purchase. The flesh of these fruits will largely accumulate inside the body of the juicer, and the juice may not flow at all. A certain solution is to add a harder raw material, e.g. carrots, which increase the pressure inside the juicer and “push out” the mousse.

The downside is also the pulp dryness regulator, which in our experience is not a sufficiently effective solution. What’s more, many people simply do not know how to set it when squeezing a given type of fruit or vegetables. Better class juicers are immediately, structurally “set” for maximum extrusion, and instead of a regulator they simply have two replacement sieves, which makes it much easier.

On the other hand, the advantage is that the manufacturer has simplified the construction of the regulator a bit (less elements), which facilitates installation and subsequent washing.

The reliability of the Vidia juicer is also noteworthy. The new model uses a reinforced sieve, which is the most “susceptible” element to damage (e.g. if too much hard raw material is inserted into the juicer).

Finally, it should be mentioned that we advise against grinding coffee beans or cereals with the Vidia SJ002 juicer (Oscar DA-1200) - these are extremely hard raw materials and are too much of a challenge for juicers. You can easily pour too much grain, reload the juicer and damage it.
