In the Elna 220ex machine we have 15 most important stitch programs at our disposal, i.e.:

• straight stitch (stitch),
• zigzag,
• Overlock stitch,
• covered,
• decorative stitches,
• as well as semi-automatic hole stitching.

All available stitch programs are placed on the front of the machine, as are the knobs used to select and adjust them. The width of selected stitches can be adjusted from 0 to 5 mm, and the length in the range from 0 to 4 mm.

The Elna 220 eXplore sewing machine is equipped with a range of features that make sewing easier

as e.g.

• built-in needle threader,
• snap-on foot attachment (matic),
• built-in thread cutter
• whether disabled transport (allows sewing buttons or quilting from a free hand).
• adjustable foot pressure (this function helps in obtaining the perfect stitches on various materials, from thin to thick or flexible).

Matic, is a quick foot attachment system available in the Elna 220 eXplore machine. With this feature, it will take you just a few seconds to replace the footer. Simply lift the foot, press the release lever, slide out the previously mounted foot and place a new one.

Two retractable pins

The second shank will come in handy when you want to sew with a double needle, or thread the bobbin without re-threading the top thread. The most common solution in household machines is an additional second pin, which is mounted into the machine. A definite advantage of the second stem as an integral part of the machine is that you always have it at hand ;) It is also worth noting that the Elna 220 eXplore pin installed in the machine is metal, which will certainly affect its service life.

Sewing around the circle

An unusual feature available in the Elna 220eX machine is the possibility of sewing around the circle. The machine has special holes that allow you to create decorative circles with a diameter of 5 cm to 7 cm.

Embroidery of the hole

The machine is also equipped with semi-automatic hole stitching - in the factory set you will find a suitable foot for this.

Built-in manual needle threader

It makes it easy and quick to move the thread through the eye of the needle. All you have to do is position the needle in the highest position (turning the flywheel to each other), lower the threader and hook the thread through two elements. Finally, pick up the threader and it will drag the thread through the eye of the needle and you're done.

Side thread cutter

It is a small element neatly fitted into the machine housing, with which you can cut threads without unnecessary reaching for scissors. The cut thread is just the right length, so that the thread certainly does not “escape” when you start sewing again.
