FINMARK is one of the smallest and at the same time relatively warm sleeping bag, the weight of which does not exceed a kilogram. Thanks to the compression bag, it can be significantly reduced.

Technologies:

Note: in the name we give T lim - this is the lowest temperature at which a "standard man" can sleep comfortably. Women or people who are easily freezing should be guided by the thermal parameter T comfort when choosing a sleeping bag.

• Research in the climate chamber - selected models of sleeping bags from each collection have been tested in the Weiss climate chamber on a complex 16-element DIANA dummy (according to the European standard PN-EN 13537-2004). Thus, the temperatures were determined: T max, T comf, T lim, T min. Then, based on the test results, the temperature ranges of all Fjord Nansen sleeping bags were calculated, thanks to which we reduce the risk of the customer buying the wrong sleeping bag to a minimum. Before choosing, you should ask yourself how we feel cold and take this fact into account when choosing a specific model. In most cases, we should choose a slightly warmer model than we expected earlier.

• Temperature ranges according to EN 13537 - these refer to a standard man and a standard woman after medium effort. ATTENTION! Sometimes it can happen that the feeling of cold will be different in different people. The way of feeling cold is also influenced by factors such as fatigue, hunger, malaise, previous cooling, age, metabolism, body fat thickness, etc.

1. The upper limit of comfort (T max) - the temperature at which the "standard man" does not sweat, and excessive temperature does not interfere with his sleep.
2. Comfort (T comf) - the temperature at which a person is in thermal equilibrium and does not feel cold. This value refers to the "standard", fed woman, after medium effort. This parameter should be guided by women when choosing a sleeping bag.
3. Limit temperature (T lim) - the lowest temperature at which a "standard man" can sleep comfortably. This parameter should be guided by men when choosing a sleeping bag.
4. Extreme temperature (T min) - exceeding this value causes the risk of hypothermia and means conditions in which you can survive for a maximum of six hours (a parameter based on the feelings of the "average woman"). This temperature should not be guided when buying a sleeping bag!!!

The above-described standard does not analyze the durability of nonwoven fabric, so we decided to perform our own test.

• Test of 10 washes - wanting to check additionally such parameters of our sleeping bags as filling strength (collapsing, moving), resistance to washing, thermal stability in a given period of time, we decided to carry out the so-called. 10 wash test (with centrifugation, of course). The results of MICROFILL Super-Therm nonwoven fabric tests exceeded our expectations. It turned out that the sleeping bag retained its thermal parameters, and the nonwoven fabric did not change its thickness and elasticity!!!
