Historical background

The Kawasaki Z2 (officially introduced as the 750RS – Road Star) debuted in 1973 as the twin brother of the famous Z1 (900). It was designed specifically for the Japanese market due to the local regulations limiting the capacity of motorcycles to 750 cc. Equipped with a technically advanced 69 HP DOHC engine, the Z2 became an instant sales hit, dominating Japanese roads and tracks.
