What is included in the AL-Clear filter?

• Active carbon - in the process of absorption and catalytic reduction removes pesticides, herbicides, chlorine, detergents. It noticeably improves the smell and taste of water.
• Ion-exchange resin - removes excess magnesium and calcium ions, which reduces water hardness.

The AL-Clear filter reduces the concentration of harmful substances and sediment. It does not remove them completely, but makes the water medium-hard, which is the best for preparing coffee.

How to replace the AL-Clear filter.

✅ Remove the filter from the film and shake it for 5 seconds.

✅ Then turn the filter upside down and immerse it in cold water for about 5 minutes. Wait until the bubbles air stop coming out of the filter. You can shake it.

✅ Slide out the water container, empty it and install the AquaClear filter in the right place. Push it down to the resistance. Refill the water tank to the maximum level, then mount it in the machine.

✅ Place an empty vessel and activate the filter in your machine through the replacement / rinsing procedure

✅ Instructions for removing descaling from coffee machines without automatic program:

1. Pour the Philips descaling solution into the water tank, then fill the tank with clean water.
2. Turn on the device and run 2 cups of water through the steam dispenser (approx. 150 ml each).
3. Turn off the device.
4. Leave the solution on for 15 to 20 minutes.
5. Repeat steps 2 and 3 until all solution is removed. Leave the solution on for 3 minutes between repetitions.
6. Rinse the water tank with clean water and fill it again.
7. Rinse the water circuit in the unit by passing 2 liters of water through the steam/hot water dispenser. Drain 2 liters of water from the tap (if available) or brew and pour 3 cups of coffee (approx. 150 ml each) or brew and pour 9 cups of espresso (approx. 50 ml each).
8. If you are using an automatic machine, remove the brewing system and clean it with clean water. More information can be found in the instructions for use of the machine with automatic descaling program.
