Thanks to the optical design designed specifically for the mirrorless camera, characterized by m.in. A much shorter distance between the camera sensor and the first lens, the DG DN lens series achieves a much more optimal combination of optical quality and size than with SLR lenses.

Thanks to the stepper motor, optimized for both phase-detection and contrast-detection AF, the SIGA 100-400mm F5-6.3 DG DN OS | Contemporary makes filming with AF or so-called. eye-tracking is very smooth.

Uncompromising image quality

The optical design of the SIGMA 100-400mm F5-6.3 DG DN OS | Contemporary lens consists of 22 lenses in 16 groups, with one FLD element and four SLD (low dispersion). Built on the latest optical technology and optimized for mirrorless systems, this lens delivers the same high image resolution both in the center of the frame and at its edge, both in shots from a minimum distance and over long distances. In addition, in combination with the SIGMA TELE CONVERTERTC-1411 / TC-2011 (sold separately / only with L-mount, SIGMA 100-400 mm F5-6.3 DG DN OS | Contemporary provides photographers with up to 800 mm focal length with autofocus, while enjoying the advantages of a compact system.

Plenty of functionality that makes shooting easier

In addition to fast and smooth AF driven by an advanced stepper motor, the SIGMA 100 – 400 mm F5 – 6,3 DG DN OS | Contemporary includes built-in lens powerful image stabilization (OS) with 4 EV* efficiency. Combined with the stabilization built into the camera, the lens still effectively corrects vibrations, ensuring sharp and unmoved photos. The lens also features an AFL button, which can be assigned to select camera-side functions, and the built-in focus limiter switch allows you to optimize the AF range depending on the shooting purpose. At the same time, by connecting the lens to USB DOCK (sold separately, exclusively with L-mount), users can adjust the sensitivity of the MF ring. In addition, the SIGMA 100-400mm F5-6.3 allows you to quickly change the focal length in 2 different ways: classically spinning the focal length ring, or using the so-called. "push zoom" means extending and hiding the lens thanks to a specially profiled sunshade.

Thoroughly thought out design

Despite its excellent optical performance, the SIGMA 100-400mm F5-6.3 is an extremely compact and lightweight design. The housing is not only lightweight but also durable, which was contributed by the optimal selection of materials in the right places. For example, we used magnesium alloys in the place where we attach the optional tripod connector, so where strength is crucial. To make it easier to connect the lens with cameras of different dimensions, it is possible to mount a tripod connector on the lens (sold separately). The tripod connector is equipped with a strap that helps to further reduce the load on the bayonet when moving the lens or during transport. In addition, the lens bayonet is protected with a special seal that protects the lens from harsh weather conditions.
