MT29 Wi-Fi TUYA Air Quality Sensor
The device allows monitoring of air quality parameters in real time, both directly on the color display and in the TUYA / Smart Life application.
The sensor monitors:
- temperature and humidity,
- carbon dioxide (CO₂),
- carbon monoxide (CO),
- volatile organic compounds (TVOC),
- formaldehyde (HCHO),
- particulate matter PM0.3, PM1.0, PM2.5 and PM10,
- air quality index AQI.
The 2,4 GHz Wi-Fi connection allows direct communication with the router – the device does not require an additional gateway.
The color display allows you to quickly and easily read current parameters without the need for a phone.
Comprehensive air monitoring
The MT29 sensor controls several groups of parameters, allowing you to observe changes in air quality in the room.
1. Suspended dusts PM0.3, PM1.0, PM2.5 and PM10
The device indicates the concentration of suspended particles of different sizes. Their source can be m.in. dust, smoke, exhaust fumes and other pollutants present in the air.
2. CO₂ – carbon dioxide
Measuring CO₂ concentration helps to assess the quality of ventilation of the room. An increase in CO₂ levels may indicate the need to ventilate the interior.
3. CO – carbon monoxide
The device indicates the approximate concentration of CO. This function is used to monitor air quality and does not replace a certified carbon monoxide sensor designed to protect life and health.
4. TVOC and HCHO
The measurement allows you to observe the presence of volatile organic compounds and formaldehyde, the source of which can be m.in. furniture, paints, adhesives, finishing materials and cleaning products.
5. Temperature and humidity
Constant temperature and humidity measurement makes it easier to control the conditions in the room.
The alarm thresholds for the supported parameters can be configured in the application, adjusting the notification method to your needs.
Important information about measurements
The indications CO₂, CO, TVOC and HCHO are for information purposes only.
The device is designed to monitor indoor air quality. It does not replace certified safety detectors designed to detect hazardous gas concentrations.
In particular, the CO measurement function should not be used as a replacement for a certified carbon monoxide sensor designed to protect life and health.
Indications of the device should be treated as an auxiliary source of information about current conditions in the room.

Indicative interpretation of results
The device readings help to observe changes in air quality and take appropriate action, e.g. ventilation of the room.
CO₂: increase in concentration may indicate insufficient ventilation of the room.
PM2.5 and PM10: elevated values indicate a higher amount of particulate matter suspended in the air.
TVOC and HCHO: increase in indications may be related to m.in. with finishing materials, furniture, cosmetics or cleaning products.

FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions
Is the TUYA / Smart Life / eWeLink app free?
Yes, all of these apps are available for free on Google Play and the App Store. Optional paid features such as e.g. sending SMS notifications to the phone number is not required for basic operation of devices – control and reception of notifications by the application remain free.
Do I need additional devices besides my phone?
It depends on the communication protocol of the device:
– Wi-Fi: all you need is a home Wi-Fi router that supports the 2.4 GHz band.
– Bluetooth: no additional devices are required.
– Zigbee: in addition to the Wi-Fi router, you must have a compatible Zigbee gateway (bridge/coordinator). Details available in product specification.
Is the application in Polish (or Czech)?
The TUYA, Smart Life and eWeLink applications offer partial interface translation – many elements are available in Polish and Czech, but some functions and settings (including option names in scenes and automations) may be available in English. Still, using the app remains intuitive and convenient.
Is it difficult to configure devices?
The process of adding devices is usually very simple. After the first startup, many models automatically enter pairing mode (indicated by the pulsing of the LED), or it can be activated manually by holding the RESET button on the housing for 5 to 10 seconds. The application guides you step by step through the entire configuration process.
Will the device work without internet access?
Most Wi-Fi-based smart devices require a constant connection to the internet and the cloud (e.g. TUYA or eWeLink). In the absence of it, remote control and schedule and automation functions stop working. Select Zigbee or Bluetooth devices can function locally if they work with an offline automation gateway.
I have a Smart Life app, will the TUYA device work in it?
Yes, TUYA devices work in the Smart Life app because both apps are based on the same platform. They differ mainly in the appearance of the interface and the brand, but the functionality remains the same. However, it is recommended to use only one of them on your phone to avoid pairing and connectivity issues.
Are TUYA and eWeLink compatible with each other?
No, TUYA and eWeLink devices use separate ecosystems and vendor clouds. This means that each device can only be added to the application for which it was designed. However, it is possible to support them in parallel in one multi-platform application (e.g. Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Apple Home) if both systems are integrated there.
