Air humidity is a term that defines the amount of water in the air. The optimum humidity in the house is within 40-60%.
Too much humidity causes the growth of fungi and bacteria, and as is well known, they have a very negative effect on our health. Children, allergy sufferers, as well as people suffering from asthma or rheumatism are particularly vulnerable.
Excessive humidity is not only unfavorable for human health and well-being, but it also causes moisture on the wall and windows, and even makes it difficult to dry laundry or washed floors.
🍃How does MalTec DH-12200 Electronic dehumidifier help us fight excessive humidity? 🍃
A condensation dehumidifier collects moisture from the air by cooling it below the dew point, causing the moisture to condense (condensation). The main components of a dehumidifier are a compressor, a fan, an expansion element and heat exchangers (condenser and evaporator).
The fan forces moist air to flow through the heat exchangers. The temperature of the evaporator is lower than the dew point temperature, causing the water vapor contained in the air to condense on its walls.
The accumulated water is collected in the dehumidifier tank or drained through a hose. After passing through the evaporator, the cooled and dried air flows through the condenser where it is heated.
This allows us to achieve an additional decrease in relative humidity. The dry air is then returned to the room from which it was sucked.
Condensation drying is much more effective and economical than drying through heating and ventilation.
