Set of knives in MODERN block – elegant design and the highest quality

The 993 line is an excellent choice for fans of modern and industrial designs. It is characterized by a simple and minimalist form. Five knives made of high-quality steel have different applications depending on the finish and size. They will work well when cutting, chopping, cutting and slicing various products.

X50CrMoV15 stainless steel with the addition of chromium, vanadium and molybdenum, from which the blades are made, provides increased strength and corrosion resistance.

The hardness of the Modern knife blade on the Rockwell scale is 54-55 HRC. The Rockwell scale indicates the ability to maintain sharpness over a given period of time and examines the resistance to mechanical damage and blade overload. Hard knives stay sharp for a long time, at the same time they are more difficult to sharpen, less pliable and more prone to cracks and crushing. Each knife should be rigid to precisely cut different components, on the other hand, it must be flexible enough that when changing the cutting angle or high pressure, it does not break. In most cases, the hardness for kitchen knives is given from 52 degrees HRC, while 57-58 HRC means already hard steel. The hardness of the Gerlach kitchen knife blades has been adjusted to ensure extremely precise and sharp cutting, while minimizing the likelihood of the blade breaking during intensive use.

The contoured stainless steel handle of Modern knives is extremely comfortable to use. It guarantees a secure grip, even in extreme conditions.

The set of knives is available with an elegant block made of lacquered beech wood in two color variants – white or black. Placed on the countertop will be a delicate decoration in the kitchen.
