TUYA + RF 433,92 MHz WiFi VOLTAGE-FREE RELAY – GATE, GATE, FURNACE
Universal WiFi controller with NC / COM / NO voltage-free relay, designed for remote control of gate, gate, boiler, furnace, electric strike and other devices using potential-free or impulse input.
The module connects directly to the 2,4 GHz WiFi router and works with the TUYA Smart / Smart Life application.
No additional gateway or TUYA control panel required.
Control is possible by:
- TUYA Smart / Smart Life app,
- compatible RF remote control 433,92 MHz,
- external button,
- TUYA schedules, timers and automations.
GATE AND GATE CONTROL
The module works very well as a WiFi controller for a garage door, entrance gate or gate.
It can cooperate with automation having a control input activated by temporarily shorting two terminals.
Pulse mode allows you to set the automatic disconnection of the relay after a specified time.
Pulse time: 1 to 3600 seconds.
This allows the controller to simulate a short press of the traditional gate opening button.
2,4 GHz WiFi – WITHOUT GATEWAY
The device has its own WiFi module and communicates directly with the home router.
You don't need:
- ZigBee gates,
- Bluetooth gateways,
- TUYA control panels,
- additional hub.
For configuration, all you need is a WiFi router operating in the 2,4 GHz band and the TUYA Smart or Smart Life application.
RF remote control 433,92 MHz
In addition to WiFi control, the module has a RF 433,92 MHz radio receiver.
Compatible remote controls using fixed code EV1527 are supported.
Thanks to this, the controller can be operated from both the phone and the classic radio remote control.
RF remote control does not require each time the application is started.
TWO WAYS OF POWER SUPPLY
The controller can be powered in two ways:
- 7 to 32 V AC/DC via power terminals,
- 5 V DC via microUSB connector.
The module should not be supplied directly with a mains voltage of 230 V.
If only 230 V is available at the installation site, it is necessary to use an appropriate voltage-lowering power supply.
RELAY PARAMETERS
Relay used: SRD-05VDC-SL-C.
Rated contact parameters for resistive load:
- up to 10 A / 250 V AC,
- up to 10 A / 30 V DC.
These parameters refer to the circuit switched by the relay contacts. This does not mean that the controller produces a voltage of 230 V at the output.
In the case of motors, pumps, transformers, large power supplies and other inductive loads or having a high starting current, an appropriate stock or an additional relay/executive contactor should be used.

EXTENSIVE FUNCTIONS OF TIMER AND TUYA AUTOMATION
The controller offers much more than just remote on and off. In the TUYA Smart / Smart Life application, there are several different ways to automatically control the relay.
Countdown – countdown time
Allows you to start or turn off the relay after a certain time. Useful function e.g. for temporary commissioning of the device, ventilation, pump or heating.
Schedule – weekly schedule
You can set specific times and days of the week when the relay is to automatically turn on or off.
Example: turning on the device from Monday to Friday at 6:30 and automatic shutdown at 8:00.
Circulate – cyclical work
The relay can automatically operate in repeated cycles, e.g.:
- 5 minutes on,
- 20 minutes off,
- then restart the cycle.
The function can be useful for ventilation, pumps, irrigation and other devices requiring periodic operation.
Inching – impulse mode
When turned on, the relay automatically returns to the off position after the set time.
The pulse time can be set from 1 second.
This is a key function when controlling:
- garage door,
- entrance gate,
- through the gate,
- electric strike,
- other inputs requiring temporary short-circuit contacts.
For example, you can set a pulse of 1 to 2 seconds for the gate. The relay temporarily shortens the COM and NO contacts and then automatically disconnects them – just like a short press of a traditional button.
IMPORTANT: for the gate or electric strike, enter the Timer settings in the application and set the Inching operating type with a time of 1 second.
LOCAL AND REMOTE CONTROL
The relay can be controlled in several independent ways:
- from your phone via TUYA Smart / Smart Life,
- remotely via the Internet,
- button on the module,
- external wired button,
- RF remote control 433,92 MHz EV1527,
- automatically using timers and schedules.
The device can also be shared with other users of the TUYA application, e.g. other household members.
EXAMPLES OF APPLICATIONS
The controller can work as:
- WiFi controller for garage door,
- entry gate controller,
- WiFi gate controller,
- electric strike controller,
- potential-free relay for furnace,
- relay for boiler,
- Dry Contact TUYA module,
- NC/NO WiFi relay,
- RF relay 433 MHz,
- remote WiFi button,
- Smart Home automation component.

FAQ – FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Does the device require a TUYA gateway?
No. The controller has its own WiFi and connects directly to the 2,4 GHz router.
Does the device work with 5 GHz WiFi network?
No. A 2,4 GHz band is required to configure and operate after WiFi.
Can you power the controller directly from 230 V?
No. The module requires 7 to 32 V AC/DC or 5 V DC power supply via microUSB. For the installation of 230 V, an appropriate power supply should be used.
Does the relay output have voltage?
No. It is a voltage-free relay. COM/NO/NC contacts only short-circuit or open the connected circuit.
Can the controller be connected to the garage door?
Yes, if the gate control panel has a control input activated by a short circuit of contacts, similar to using a regular wall button.
Can you control the gate?
Yes, if the gate, electric strike or intercom controller has an appropriate control input. You should check the installation diagram in advance.
Can the device be connected to a furnace or boiler?
Yes, but only if the furnace manufacturer has provided an input for a potential-free contact, e.g. room thermostat input. Before connecting, check the instructions of the device.
Do you need a neutral cable N?
Not in the same sense as in typical WiFi switches powered from a 230 V installation. This module has its own low-voltage power input 7 to 32 V AC/DC or 5 V DC.
Can I control the device without the Internet?
Controlling the RF remote control or local button does not require an Internet connection. For remote control via an application from outside the home, it is required to connect the controller to a WiFi network with Internet access.
Will the 433 MHz remote fit?
The controller supports compatible 433,92 MHz remote controls using fixed code EV1527. The use of the 433,92 MHz frequency alone does not guarantee the compatibility of every remote control.
Can you set only a short pulse instead of a constant on?
Yes. The controller has the function of automatically turning off the relay after a set time from 1 to 3600 seconds. This is especially useful for controlling gates.
Can you leave a regular button to the gate?
Yes. The module allows you to connect an external button, so you can maintain local control and use the application at the same time.
Can the device directly control the 230 V motor?
We do not recommend selecting the device solely on the basis of the value of 10 A given on the relay. Motors and other inductive loads have a high inrush current. In such applications, the executive system should be selected accordingly and an additional contactor should be used if necessary.
VALID BEFORE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION
Before buying, it is worth checking the diagram of the device that the driver is to manage. It is crucial to determine whether it has a input controlled by contact short circuit / potential-free contact.
Adequate power supply should also be provided for the module: 7 – 32 V AC/DC or 5 V DC microUSB.
The module is an electronic device designed to be mounted in an appropriate housing or inside a protected device.
In the case of installations related to the mains voltage of 230 V, the installation should be carried out by a person with appropriate knowledge and qualifications.
