✅ The Vulcanus® root barrier, also called the anti-root barrier , is a material used in horticulture and construction to guide root growth and prevent root growth from growing excessively sideways.

MATERIAL:

INSTALLATION OF THE ROOT BARRIER Vulcanus® :

✅ Dig a trench around the area we want to protect. The depth of the ditch should be greater than the depth to which the roots of plants in a given place can reach. Usually a depth of 60 cm to 1 meter is sufficient, but you may need to adjust the depth depending on the plant species.

✅ Place the barrier vertically around the root, so as to direct its growth downwards and not sideways. The top edge of the barrier should protrude a few centimeters above the ground surface to prevent roots from entering the top of the barrier.

✅ We cover the trench with earth, thoroughly beating the ground around the barrier. Make sure the barrier stays in place and does not move when backfilling

✅ Keep an appropriate distance from the tree so as not to hinder the plant's free growth. Too close installation of the barrier can reduce the stability of the plant and lead to greater damage.
