Meranti is one of the most valued wood species in Europe for its properties. Easy to process, with an attractive appearance quickly won a large group of admirers.

Currently, not only windows, doors, furniture, but entire exterior facades are made of this wood. Why? Its resistance to adverse weather conditions is ideal, and in this case it is the main plus.

Meranti is a wood of the Shorea genus. It is most common in Malaysia and Indonesia. It is one of the densest wood species (depending on the species) it reaches values from 300 kg/m3 to 1050 kg/m3.

Meranti is mainly used in construction and furniture.
