• Contact time: In case of surface disinfection (spray), allow the preparation to work for at least 5-10 minutes before wiping or rinsing it.
• Removal of Biofilm: If you are cleaning old water installations (e.g. in a summer house), at the first rinse it is worth using a higher concentration (approx. 500 ml/10 l of water) for a few hours, and only then proceed to maintenance dosing.
• Freshness of products: Rinsing vegetables in ClO2 solution not only kills E. coli or Salmonella bacteria, but also neutralizes ethylene, which makes fruits and vegetables not spoil so quickly.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. Is chlorine dioxide the same as regular bleach (sodium hypochlorite)? No. These are completely different chemicals. ClO2 does not chlorinate organic matter, so it does not produce toxic and carcinogenic byproducts (THMs). It is safer for the environment and more effective at removing biofilm.

2. Do I need to rinse the surfaces after using the solution? At low concentrations (below 5 ppm) used for drinking water or rinsing food – there is no need. At high disinfection concentrations (e.g. 200 ppm in industry), it is recommended to rinse the surface with drinking water.

3. How long does the active solution retain its properties? After activation (mixing of components), the working solution is best used within 30 to 60 days, provided that it is stored in an airtight, dark package in a cool place. UV light accelerates the decomposition of the preparation.

4. Is the product safe for metals and seals? Yes, at recommended operating concentrations, ClO2 is neutral to most materials, including stainless steel, plastic and rubber. It is much less corrosive than traditional chlorine.

5. How to check if the concentration is appropriate? For professional applications, we recommend using test strips to measure ClO2 , which allow you to confirm the activity of the solution in ppm (parts per million) in seconds.

💡 How to solve the problem of smelly hot water?

1. If there is a magnesium anode rod in the tank that has not been replaced for at least a year, replace it with a new rod. Magnesium anode in a hot water tank has a protective function against rust and bad odor. In some cases, the magnesium anode rod inside the water softening system can combine with compounds in soft water to form a hydrogen sulfide gas. Generally, anode rod tank manufacturers recommend replacing the anode every 1 - 2 years.
2. Disinfection: add 1 liter of preparation from the auction approved for disinfection of drinking water to the tank / hot water tank. Fill the tank with water up to 50% - 70% capacity and leave the center for a few hours. Then unscrew the furthest tap from the tank gently with warm water to disinfect the remaining installation. You can do the same with the rest of the faucets in your home. It is best to disinfect in the evening before bed, leaving until morning. By letting warm water go, the system will fill with fresh water.
