The safety of the welder largely depends on the functionality of the equipment used. VRD – is a voltage reduction system whose task is to turn off the power supply within a few milliseconds after finishing welding. This function is also responsible for reducing the voltage on the wrapped electrode to a safe level.

Choosing the right rectifier is extremely important for lead-acid batteries. Properly selected device not only protects the battery from overcharging, but also allows you to extend its life. Using the wrong rectifier may result in shortened battery life or damage – if e.g. A device with too much power was chosen.

In the initial charging phase (set 10% of the battery capacity) the current value reaches the maximum value. As the battery charge increases, the current value decreases accordingly and the voltage remains constant.

The BJC AiO device uses a charging current limiting system. Thanks to this solution, we can limit the charging current to 10% of the capacity of the charged battery (ampere adjustment with +,- buttons Current function).
