The Sone Smart One temperature sensor is a practical device for monitoring conditions in the home, garage, warehouse or outdoors. In addition to ambient temperature and humidity, it also allows you to measure the temperature in another location thanks to the 96 cm long wired probe .
The device connects directly to the 2.4 GHz WiFi network , so it does not require an additional gateway. You can read all data in the Tuya or Smart Life application , where charts, measurement history and alarm settings are also available.
This solution will work wherever a standard sensor is not enough – when you want to simultaneously control the room conditions and the temperature at a specific point , e.g. in the refrigerator, at the installation or outdoors, even in more difficult environmental conditions.

Dimensions and installation
The sensor has compact dimensions 7,2 × 2 × 2,5 cm, so it can be easily placed even in a small space – e.g. on the wall, shelf or during installation.
Installation is carried out using double-sided tape (included), which allows for quick installation without drilling. The device can also be placed in bulk in the selected place.
Probe with a length of 96 cm allows convenient measurement of temperature outside the housing – e.g. for the refrigerator, outdoors or in a hard-to-reach place. The sensor is designed for internal use.

External Temperature Probe

The probe is moisture and splash resistant, so it can also be used for short-term water temperature measurement, e.g., in an aquarium or container.

Home screen and measurement history
The Tuya / Smart Life app provides quick access to all your most important data in one place. The home screen immediately shows the temperature from the probe, the ambient temperature and current humidity, so you can control the conditions at two different points on an ongoing basis. In addition, the weather forecast for 5 days is displayed, which allows you to quickly refer measurements to external conditions.
Below is a quick preview of the charts – with one click you can switch between probe temperature, ambient temperature and humidity, without having to go to additional settings.
The full measurement history can be found in a separate section of the application and is presented in the form of clear charts divided into day, month and year. This allows you to easily analyze changes over time and capture temperature or humidity differences.
Important: all data is saved as average values from each hour, regardless of the sampling rate set.
Export data to Excel
The sensor allows convenient export of measurement data to an Excel file, which is sent directly to the specified e-mail address. This allows you to analyze results outside the app or archive them on your own device.
The file contains all the most important parameters:
- temperature from the probe
- ambient temperature
- moisture
- date and time of measurement
The data is saved in the form of a table, which facilitates their further analysis, filtering or creating your own statements.
Important: values in Excel are saved as hourly averages, regardless of the set sampling rate in the device.
This solution will work especially where measurement documentation is needed – e.g. in warehouses, technical rooms or for own control of conditions.
Alerts and notifications
The device allows you to set accurate alarm thresholds for all measured parameters, so you can automatically react to changes in conditions.
In the app you will set:
- ambient temperature: from -20°C to +60°C
- moisture: from 0% to 100%
- probe temperature: from -30°C to +125°C
After exceeding the set values, the sensor sends a push notification to the phone, so you immediately know about the change – without having to constantly check the application.
In addition, there is a event log, in which all alarms and notifications are saved. This allows you to quickly check when and how often the set thresholds were exceeded.
This solution is particularly useful in situations where constant control is important – e.g. in the refrigerator, warehouse, with technical equipment or when monitoring outdoor conditions.
Settings and calibration
The Tuya / Smart Life app gives you access to detailed settings so you can adjust the sensor to suit your needs and environmental conditions.
The options available include:
- change of temperature units – °C / °F
- battery level preview – power status control
- status of alarms – quick information about active notifications
Calibration of measurements – correction of indications
Calibration allows you to correct sensor readings if you notice a difference from another device (e.g. reference thermometer).

Example: if the sensor shows 24°C and the actual temperature is 23°C – you set -1°C and the reading will be correct.
Sensitivity – when the sensor responds to change
Sensitivity determines how much change needs to occur for the sensor to update the result and save the new value.
- temperature sensitivity: from 0,6°C to 2°C
- humidity sensitivity: from 6% to 20%
- probe sensitivity: from 0,6°C to 3°C
The lower the value:
- sensor responds faster
- updates data more frequently
- consumes more batteries
The higher the value:
- fewer updates
- longer battery life
Sampling – how often it measures
- measurement frequency: from 1 to 120 seconds
This setting determines how often the device performs the measurement, but does not affect the record of data in the history – these are saved as hourly averages anyway.
Smart Scenes and Automations
The sensor works with the Tuya / Smart Life automation system, allowing it to control other smart home devices based on temperature, humidity, or battery level.
In the app, you can create your own scenes and set actions for specific conditions, such as:

Adding a device to the app
The sensor connects to the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app via the WiFi 2,4 GHz network and does not require an additional gateway.
The process of adding the device:
- install the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app
- insert 2 AAA batteries into the device
- Enable Bluetooth and location on your phone
- click "Add device" in the application
- hold the button on the device for 5-7 seconds until the LED flashes, the application will automatically detect the sensor
- select the WiFi 2,4 GHz network and enter the password
Once added, the device will immediately start transmitting temperature, humidity and data from the probe to the application.
