The PEFLEX damper is designed for use in round ventilation ducts and is mounted directly before the anemostat. It can be used both on air andexhaust cables. It is used to smoothly regulate air flow and suppress the noise of ventilation systems. It is particularly useful in situations where the air flow at a given point is too large and the regulation of the anemostat is impossible or generates a lot of noise.

Construction and operation of throttle/silencer PEFLEX

The throttle consists of two foam discs:

• damping element made of soft acoustic PUR polyurethane foam with excellent damping properties covered with one-sided protective film
• adjustment plate made of rigid PE polyethylene foam

The use of a plate made of PE foam protects the face of the damping element against the absorption of impurities and moisture and allows for convenient and smooth regulation of the air stream without the need to remove the throttle from the ventilation duct. The adjustment consists in the smooth rotation of the adjustment plate relative to the damping element in which the through holes are located. If you want to achieve maximum airflow, the throttle is equipped with additional through holes designed for dismantling by the user.

The dampening element of the PEFLEX throttle is made of durable, plastic and acoustic foam with open cellular structure. The structure of the material and its optimal density makes the throttle-damper PEFLEX has high sound absorption and allows soundproofing of the ventilation system.
