Hydroidea is a manufacturer of ecological preparations for ponds, mineral filter deposits and specialized filters for bathing ponds.

EcoGerm Winter – contains a unique composition of fast-acting bacteria that remain active even in cold water. It is designed for use in autumn, winter and spring, when the water temperature ranges from 3,3°C to 8°C. It accelerates the decomposition of organic matter, clarifies water, eliminates unpleasant odors and breaks down toxic ammonia, which is deadly to fish. Accelerates spring start-up and prolongs filtration processes in autumn. It maintains a sustainable ecosystem in the water reservoir throughout the winter and prevents algae infestations during warmer days.

Application method: scatter evenly over the surface of the water pane or near the diffuser of the aeration pump. Use preventively once a month when the temperature of pond water varies between 3,3°C – 8°C. Use EcoGerm Ponds at water temperatures above 8°C.

Dosage: preventively 100 g of the preparation is enough for 10 000 liters of water for 1 month of use. Before applying the product, turn off the UVC lamp. It can be turned on again after a few days.

• EcoGerm Winter works in water with a temperature in the range of 3,3 ° C – 8 ° C. Its use is therefore an effective method for extending filtration processes in our climate.
• EcoGerm Winter should be used regularly from October to the end of March. In winter, the preparation is applied to an artificial hole or in the area of the diffuser of the aeration pump.
• When the water temperature exceeds 8 ° C, the preparation should be replaced with EcoGerm Ponds bacteria and later by the end of the season regularly apply EcoGerm Standard.
• Microbiological preparations must not be used together with disinfectants and antibiotics. They should not be mixed or dissolved in chlorinated water.
• Regular use of the full range of products from the EcoGerm line is a guarantee of clean and transparent water throughout the year.
