Method of use

Before starting work, place the sharpener on an even, flat and hard surface. Make sure that all tool feet rest on the ground. The sharpener should be used only in dry rooms, without the possibility of access bystanders, especially children.

SHARPENING DRILL

Before starting sharpening the drill, they should be fixed in the holder in an appropriate way. To do this, press the jaw latch, which will cause them to open (III). With the handle knob, set the diameter slightly larger than the diameter of the sharpened drill to ensure free movement of the drill in the holder. Insert the handle into the drill positioning socket (IV). It should be noted that the drill holder has projections that must be inserted into the socket incisions (V). Lift the jaw latch, which will cause the drill to be grasped, turn the drill so that it is grasped in the narrowest place (VI).

The adjustment knob should determine the amount of material to be collected during sharpening. Rotating the knob according to the direction of the arrow increases the amount of material collected (VII). In the case of ordinary sharpening of the drill, set a minimum level of collected material. In case of greater damage to the drill, a higher level of collected material should be set.

Press the drill to the front of the positioning pin (VIII), then tightening the handle knob clockwise, immobilize the drill in the handle (IX). Press the jaw latch and open it, then slide the handle along with the attached drill from the positioning socket.

Connect the sharpener to the electrical network, turn on the sharpener and wait until the rated revolutions are reached. Tilt the cover of the drill sharpening socket by moving it in the direction indicated by the arrow. Insert the handle behind the attached drill into the socket, making sure the handle lugs hit the socket notches (X). After hearing the grinding sound, move it one way or the other for 5 – 10 seconds, while pressing the drill with a slight force to the grinding plate. Then pull the handle out of the socket, rotate it 180 degrees and repeat the operation for the other edge of the drill blade. Always sharpen both edges of the drill.

Attention! Each edge should be sharpened with the same amount of time and pressed with the same force. This will prevent uneven sharpening of the drill.

In the case of sharpening drills with a diameter of 10 mm and more, the grinding process of the application surface of the drill should still be carried out. For this purpose, after sharpening as described above, the handle with the drill should also be inserted into the grinding socket of the drill application surface and gently pressed for a few seconds (XI). Then pull the handle out of the socket, rotate it 180 degrees and repeat the operation for the second surface of application of the drill.

Attention! Each surface should be sanded with the same amount of time and pressed with the same force. This will prevent uneven sharpening of the drill.

After sharpening the drill, the results of work should be evaluated. If the tip of the drill after sharpening takes on a blue or different color from the natural color of the steel, this means overheating of the surface and reduce the pressure of the drill to the grinding plate during sharpening.

If after sharpening the edges of the drill blade are not equal in length, the time and pressure of sharpening each side of the drill should be equalized.

SHARPENING OF AXES, KNIVES AND SCISSORS

- Sharpening of knife and scissors axes should be carried out in protective gloves, protecting against cutting.

- Choose a slot designed to sharpen a given type of blade.

- Turn on the sharpener and wait until the rated revolutions are reached.

- Insert the blade into the appropriate slot and then drag in the direction opposite to the direction of rotation of the grinding plate, marked on the sharpener housing (II).

- When dragging, press the blade against the grinding plate with little force. Repeat the action several times.

- Then turn off the sharpener with the switch and disconnect the plug from the power outlet.

Attention! When sharpening, the blade should always be dragged in the direction opposite to the direction of rotation of the grinding stone.

Do not drag the blade in the direction of rotation of the grinding plate.

EMPTYING DUST CONTAINERS

The sharpener is equipped with two containers in which dust generated during operation is collected. Each time after completion of work, they must be emptied. To do this, they should be removed from the sharpener housing, cleaned, and then fixed in the sharpener housing.
