The advantage of mesh inhalers is their compact size and quiet operation, thanks to which patients can nebulize not only at home, but also take them with them to school, work, or on vacation. The MESH inhaler is very compact.

It uses a vibrating, perforated membrane that produces a good quality aerosol. MESHe are characterized by quiet and very efficient operation - they are much faster than regular nebulizers connected to compressors.

What to look for when choosing an inhaler?

Nebuliser inhalers spray the medicine into an aerosol containing drops of an appropriate size, depending on the spray nozzle or other method used. When choosing an inhaler, you need to pay attention to the size of the molecules that the nebulizer produces. Depending on the size of the droplets, the place of best absorption of the drug changes. The size of the particles affects the part of the airways in which they will settle during inhalation.

General guidelines say that particles of larger size (above 8 µm) settle in the upper respiratory tract, i.e. in the nostrils, throat and larynx, while particles of smaller size (less than 8 µm) are able to overcome these areas and reach the lower parts of the respiratory system. Particles with a size of 5-8 µm are deposited in the trachea and large bronchi, particles with a size of 2-5 µm are deposited in the bronchioles and bronchioles, and particles with a size of 0,5-3 µm are deposited in the alveoli, where gas exchange takes place.

However, it should be remembered that the actual impact of particle size on their deposition in the airways depends on many factors, such as air flow rate, humidity, temperature and the physico-chemical properties of the drug itself. VITAMMY Mesh 5 sprays MMAD particles approx. 3,49 μm which gives suitable options for the treatment of lower and upper respiratory tract and the mesh inhaler makes it universal.

How does the VITAMMY Mesh 5 nebulizer work?

It consists of a medicine reservoir and a spray mesh; the mesh is connected to a vibration film and a round piezoelectric element. Thanks to the round piezoelectric element, electricity is converted into mechanical energy and ultrasonic vibrations are generated; then a wave of vibrations presses the liquid in the drug reservoir to atomize it through a micro washer hole on the spray grid; then the mist is transferred from the spray mesh to the mouthpiece or mask.
