The uTrust 2700 driver card reader with TachoBit is a cheap set for downloading, reading and archiving all data from driver cards.
The TachoBit reader is recommended m.in for drivers who, due to being on a business trip for more than 28 days, have to take care of downloading data from the driver card themselves.
Downloading data from driver cards requires connecting the reader to a computer running TachoBit. After reading the driver card, TachoBit will save the DDD file and can automatically send it by email or to the FTP server
The kit reads driver cards of the first and second generation G2. G2 cards collect additional data from smart 4.0 tachographs, DDD files are more than twice as large as files from first generation cards.
If you have a G2 card and use it in a smart tachograph, DDD files with readout should be about 66KB each, files smaller by more than half do not contain all the required data!
