The colorimetric droplet test Aquaphor allows you to quickly and very precisely determine the level of water hardness.

It is a simple diagnostic tool useful both at home and in installations requiring control of water parameters.

The tester allows you to accurately measure the hardness of water in German degrees (°dH), so you can easily assess whether it is necessary to use a water softener or check the correct operation of an already installed device.

The measurement accuracy is 0,5°dH - 1°dH per drop of reagent, which allows for reliable and repeatable results.

How to Measure Water Hardness

1. Rinse the measuring vessel 2-3 times with the test water.
2. Pour the test water into the 5 ml bar.
3. Add one drop of reagent and stir the sample in a circular motion for a few seconds - the water should turn red.
4. Add more drops of reagent until the color begins to turn green.
5. Mix the sample 10-20 seconds and observe if the colour has become visibly green.
6. If not - add one more drop and stir again 10-20 seconds.
7. The number of drops corresponds to the hardness of water in °dH.

After the test, pour the sample into the sewer and rinse the vial thoroughly.
