The Sone Smart One flood sensor is a simple way to protect your home against the effects of water leaks. The device detects the presence of water using an external probe and immediately triggers an audible alarm and sends a notification to your phone .
Thanks to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi connectivity, the sensor connects directly to the router and does not require an additional gateway . Operation is via the Tuya Smart or Smart Life application, where you can check the device status, alarm history and set notifications and automation scenes .
The external probe on a 96 cm long cable allows you to place the sensor in a safe place, and the detection point itself exactly where there is a risk of flooding – e.g. at the washing machine, dishwasher or under the sink. This solution reduces false alarms and increases leak detection efficiency.

Dimensions and installation
The Sone sensor has a compact housing measuring 91 × 26 × 21 mm, so it can be easily mounted even in hard-to-reach places, such as the space under the sink, behind the washing machine or during water installation.
The outer probe is located on a 96 cm long wire and detects water at its tip. This allows you to mount the main part of the device in a dry place, and place the detection point itself exactly where there is a risk of leakage.
Installation is carried out using double-sided tape (included), without the need for drilling. The device is designed for internal use – the housing is not waterproof and should not be submerged.
Flood View and App Notifications
In the Tuya Smart / Smart Life app, the main screen immediately shows the current sensor status – whether the device is detecting water or operating normally. In case of flooding, the screen turns red and a clear alarm message appears, so you don't need to analyze data – the status is instantly visible.
The app saves event history (Record), where you can check the exact time of the leak detection and previous alarms. Additionally, you receive instant push notifications on your phone (in English), allowing for a quick response even when you're away from home.
Automation scenes (Smart) are also available within the app, enabling the sensor to work with other Tuya devices – for example, to automatically shut off the water valve upon detecting a flood or activate an additional alarm.
Event history and alarm settings
Our Sone Smart On e flood sensor gives you full access to your history and settings directly in the Tuya Smart/Smart Life app, so you can control exactly when and how your device reacts to water detection.
The application provides a detailed event history where all flood detections are recorded along with the exact time. This makes it easy to check when a leak occurred and whether the problem is recurring.
In the settings, the user has full control over the operation of the sensor. You can check the battery level in %, set the alarm volume (mute, low, medium, high) and its duration from 30 to 150 seconds (in 30-second increments). Additionally, you can enable or disable low battery notifications and the flood alarm.
All settings are simple and clear, so even a person with no experience in smart home can quickly adjust the sensor's operation to their needs.
Scenes and automations in the app
The Sone Smart One flood sensor can be part of a larger smart home system in the Tuya Smart / Smart Life app, so it not only informs about the problem, but can also automatically respond.
In the application, you can create a “if – then” scene, e.g. If the sensor detects flooding, then another device will be automatically turned off or started. It could be e.g. cut off the water supply (using a Tuya valve), turn on an additional alarm or light.
Setting up scenes is simple – you choose a condition (flood detection) and then the action to be performed. This allows you to match the operation of the system exactly to your installation and increase the safety of your home without manual reaction.
Adding a device to the app
The Sone Smart One flood sensor is added directly to the Tuya Smart / Smart Life app via Wi-Fi.
- Open the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app
- Click the "+" in the upper right corner and select "Add device"
- Connect your phone to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network and turn on Bluetooth
- Hold down the button on the sensor housing for about 5 seconds until the LED starts flashing
- Once the device is detected, select it from the list
- Enter the name and password for your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network
- Wait for the configuration to complete – once added, you can change the device name (e.g. "kitchen", "dishwasher", "washing machine") by clicking the pencil icon
Important: If you have a dual-band router, the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks should have different names. Otherwise, the device may not be added correctly.
Siren function
Our sensor is equipped with a built-in siren, which starts immediately after the probe detects water. Thanks to this, the device not only sends a notification to the phone, but also informs about the threat directly on the spot.
The volume of the alarm is about 80 dB, which allows you to hear the signal in the room, even if the phone is out of range. This is especially useful in situations where you are at home – the alarm draws attention immediately and allows you to react quickly.
In the Tuya Smart / Smart Life app, you can customize the siren operation to suit your needs. Volume levels (mute, low, medium, high) and alarm duration from 30 to 150 seconds (every 30 seconds) are available.
The alarm can be turned off in two ways – by pressing a button on the housing or from the application, setting the mute mode. Thanks to this, you have full control over the device in any situation.
