WiFi thermostat TUYA Kraslaw 20A – Polish interface, energy measurement and DS18B20 probe
The Kraslaw WiFi smart thermostat is used to automatically control heating or cooling based on the temperature measured by the DS18B20 external probe.
The device combines the functions of temperature controller, WiFi relay and energy consumption meter. It allows you to remotely control a connected heater, heating mat, electric boiler, fan or other compatible receiver.
The most important difference from the popular 16A versions is the use of a 20A relay and a maximum load capacity of 3800W.
- relay 20A – maximum load of the device 3800W,
- device control panel available in Polish,
- heating and cooling mode,
- measurement and history of energy consumption,
- replaceable waterproof temperature probe DS18B20,
- 2,4 GHz WiFi control without additional gateway,
- schedules, timer, notifications and TUYA scenes.
Version Kraslaw 20A – more power supply than typical 16A thermostats
In many similar temperature controllers, 16A relays and power limitation to about 3000W are used. The Kraslaw version is equipped with a relay with a rated current of 20A, and the maximum load of the entire device is 3800W.
Thanks to this, the thermostat can cooperate with higher power devices, such as electric heaters, heating mats, heating cables or electric boilers – provided that the permissible load is maintained and the installation is properly performed.
Important: value 20A means the rated current of the relay used. The maximum load power of the device is 3800W. With continuous operation, we recommend maintaining about 20 to 25% of the power reserve.
Polish control panel in the TUYA and Smart Life app
The control panel of this model is available in Polish, thanks to which the basic configuration of the thermostat is more readable than in many standard, untranslated versions of the device.
From the application you can, among others:
- set the target temperature,
- choose the heating or cooling mode,
- manually turn the relay on or off,
- check the current temperature,
- monitor energy consumption,
- set the schedule, timer and delay of operation,
- enable notifications of too high or low temperature,
- calibrate the temperature indication,
- Create scenes with other TUYA devices.
Some general system screens of the TUYA or Smart Life app, such as the scene builder and automation, may look different depending on the version of the app and the language you set on your phone.
Automatic temperature controller – heating and cooling
The WiFi thermostat can work automatically as a heating controller or cooling controller. The connected device is switched on and off based on the temperature measured by the DS18B20 probe.
Heating mode: The thermostat turns on the connected heater or other heating device when the temperature drops below the set level. When the target temperature is reached, the power is turned off.
Cooling mode: The thermostat turns on the fan, refrigerator or other cooling device when the temperature exceeds the set value. When the temperature is lowered to a certain level, the device is turned off.
There is also a manual mode that allows you to remotely turn the relay on or off from the application – regardless of the current temperature.
WiFi thermostat with energy consumption measurement
The built-in measurement function allows you to control the operation of the connected receiver and analyze the power consumption in the application. This allows you to see how often the device starts up and how much energy it consumes over a given period.
Energy measurement is particularly useful when controlling heaters, electric heating, heating mats, boilers, aquarium equipment or greenhouse heating.
The measuring function helps to detect excessive power consumption and better adjust the operating schedule of the device. However, it does not replace overcurrent protection or surge protection of the electrical system.
Thermostat for heater, boiler, aquarium, terrarium and greenhouse
The external temperature probe and the ability to choose heating or cooling mode make the controller suitable for many home, technical and hobby installations.
Example applications:
- control of the electric heater,
- control of the electric boiler,
- mat or heating cable,
- heating an aquarium or terrarium,
- temperature control in the greenhouse,
- protection of installations and rooms against freezing,
- fan or cooling control,
- automation of heating devices in the workshop or garage.
Before connecting, always check the power, type of load and starting current of the controlled device.
Waterproof and replaceable temperature probe DS18B20
The set includes an external temperature probe DS18B20 with a cable length of 1 meter. The metal part of the probe is waterproof, so it can measure the temperature of water, substrate, or areas with increased humidity.
The probe is connected via a JST XH connector and can be replaced with a compatible probe of a different length. A probe cable extender is also available – offer number 15649407868.
Note: waterproof is the measuring probe, not the control module. The thermostat itself should be installed in a dry place. When installing outdoors, it is necessary to use an appropriate hermetic housing.
L-phase control – the device does not have a voltage-free contact
The controller switches the mains voltage using the L phase cable. The N neutral cable is factory bridged between the power supply and output.
This is not a relay with isolated COM/NO/NC output or so-called dry contact. The thermostat should not be connected directly to the control inputs of boilers, furnaces or control panels requiring voltage-free contact.
For larger loads, pumps, motors, compressors or devices with high starting current, we recommend using a properly selected contactor or intermediate relay.
Installation of a device working with mains voltage should be carried out by a person with appropriate knowledge and authorizations.
Schedules, timer, TUYA scenes and common control
The WiFi thermostat can operate according to the programmed schedule. You can set heating or cooling operating hours, timer, countdown and automatic scenes associated with other TUYA and Smart Life devices.
You can share access to the thermostat with other users of the app. Family members can check the temperature, change settings, control the connected device and monitor energy consumption.
The controller also supports compatible RF 433 MHz radio remote controls. The remote is not part of the kit and must be purchased separately.

Yes. In heating mode, it turns on the device after the temperature drops, while in cooling mode it starts it after exceeding the set temperature.
Can this thermostat be connected to a CO boiler?
Only if the boiler input is adapted to control the mains voltage. The thermostat does not have a COM/NO/NC voltage-free contact. It should not be connected directly to the boiler input requiring the so-called. dry contact.
Can the probe be submerged in water?
The metal part of the DS18B20 probe is waterproof and can be used to measure water temperature. The control module is not waterproof and must be in a dry place.
Does the thermostat measure humidity?
No. The device measures temperature and energy consumption. It does not have an air humidity sensor or substrate.
