⭐Efficient CC2674P10 chip

The adapter uses Texas Instruments CC2674P10 chip equipped with:

• Arm Cortex-M33 48 MHz processor,
• 1024 KB Flash memory,
• 256 KB of RAM,
• Arm TrustZone hardware security mechanisms.

⭐Important: Zigbee and Thread do not work simultaneously

SONOFF Dongle-PP10 has one radio chip operating in IEEE 802.15.4 standard. This means that it can only perform one main function at a time:

• Zigbee Coordinator,
• Zigbee Router,
• Thread RCP.

This is not a simultaneous, two-protocol Zigbee and Thread coordinator. To switch from Zigbee to Thread, you need to change the device firmware, e.g. using SONOFF Dongle Flasher.

⭐Large coverage and stable communication

The Dongle-PP10 has an external antenna with a high gain and transmitter power up to 20 dBm.

The manufacturer declares a range of up to 200 meters in open space, however, the actual range in the building depends on:

• thickness and type of walls,
• number of router devices,
• Wi-Fi interference,
• selected radio channel,
• antenna settings,
• adapter location.

The included 1 meter USB extension cable allows you to move the adapter away from your computer and other sources of interference, which can improve the quality of your radio communication.

⭐ ZigBee protocol

What distinguishes ZigBee from classic WiFi is a sufficiently long working time of battery-powered devices (unattainable with the classic WiFi protocol) and signal transmission through accessories powered by 230V.

In addition, selected ZigBee devices (230V mains powered) become part of the Mesh network. This means that if a module is unable to connect directly to the ZigBee gateway, it communicates with it through another closest accessory of this system.
